The Cowboys’ owner told reporters this week that Dallas will not be giving Parsons a tribute video when he returns to AT&T Stadium for Sunday Night Football this week. His reasoning? “It’s not appropriate,” Jones said. And just like that, a reunion turned into another headline.

Like the user says, the Parsons-to-Packers deal shocked the entire football world. Jones has done this contract standoff before, but in the past, things got settled around the season’s beginning. Then, the longtime owner traded him to an NFC rival days before the Cowboys were scheduled to begin the season in Philadelphia.
The anger snowballed from there. “Jerry Jones is the biggest moron in the history of professional sports,” one frustrated fan posted.

The fan has a point — since 1996, their next season after winning their last Super Bowl, the Cowboys have just five playoff wins (1996, 2009, 2014, 2018, and 2022).

Jones and Parsons’ Beef Continuing into Week 4
The beef between Parsons and Jones is nothing new. The relationship soured during tense contract negotiations, with Parsons seeking a long-term deal and Jones insisting they already had a verbal agreement.
