The Dallas Cowboys, who have endured a rough season, brought smiles to their fans on Christmas with an impressive Week 17 win over the Washington Commanders.
Following the game, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott’s fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, shared some wholesome moments on social media, showing how Prescott made sure to fulfill his off-field duties as well by making his family’s Christmas special.
Sarah Jane Shares Dak Prescott’s Heartwarming Christmas Gesture
While Prescott had the enormous responsibility of leading the Cowboys against the Commanders, he didn’t forget to make a small but touching gesture by sending flowers to his fiancée and daughters, Margaret Jane “MJ” Rose and Aurora Rayne, who were watching the game from home on TV.
Ramos shared several pictures from her Christmas celebration on her Instagram story, including photos of the flowers, with the caption: “Dak made sure there were 3 sets of roses delivered on Christmas for his girls,” followed by a teary-eyed emoji and “Best daddy.”
She also shared a photo of watching the game live on TV and, following the Cowboys’ 30–23 win over the Commanders, captioned it with three blue heart emojis.
Prescott and His Team’s Efforts To Make the Cowboys’ Staff’s Christmas Happier
Not just for his family and the Cowboys fans, Prescott once again made sure the hardworking Cowboys staff also had a happier Christmas. As he does every year, Prescott and his teammates earlier contributed a portion of their salaries to reward staff members who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the organization running smoothly.
In a recent episode of HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” the Cowboys quarterback was seen addressing his teammates about the importance of contributing to make the staff feel appreciated. He pointed out that while players and coaches are well paid, that isn’t the case for everyone in the organization.
“Obviously, we get paid well, coaches get paid (well),” Prescott said. “You’ll see support staff, some of these guys get paid very well; however, there are other people who do a lot for us. What do we want to help contribute to them to just say thank you, right? So all this is, is Christmas bonuses. This is something we have done every year.”
Each player was given a sheet to record their desired contribution amount. Prescott also highlighted specific staff members who could benefit from the gesture and encouraged everyone to participate in spreading holiday cheer. While the overall season has been disappointing, Christmas week turned out to be a bright spot for the Cowboys.
