The Dallas Cowboys have been busy this offseason, completely revamping their running back room and trading for former Pittsburgh Steelers standout George Pickens. The organization will be prioritizing an extension for defensive star Micah Parsons, but work will already be underway on next year’s draft prospects.
In a recent 2026 NFL Mock Draft from PFSN’s Ian Cummings, the Cowboys grab another exciting receiver, adding to what has become one of the top receiving corps in the NFL.
Cowboys Land Conference-Leading Receiver in 2026 NFL Mock Draft
With Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb both under contract until 2029 and Pickens likely to get an extension in the coming year, the Cowboys’ long-term passing game is in good hands. Still, with the team competing in a ferocious NFC East division, stacking as much talent as possible is never a bad idea.
Enter Antonio Williams, who broke out in 2024 with 11 receiving touchdowns for the Clemson Tigers. Williams also added his first career rushing touchdown last season, taking his total to 18 scores in three years of college football.
According to Cummings, Williams is among the frontrunners to be the top receiver in the 2026 class, making him a solid value for Dallas at Pick 14.
“The Dallas Cowboys’ trade for George Pickens improves their WR room in the short term, but Pickens is still only on a one-year deal, and the options beyond him and CeeDee Lamb aren’t promising. As such, Dallas may once again be in the WR1 discussion in 2026.

“Right now, my WR1 in the 2026 NFL Draft is Clemson’s Antonio Williams. He’s not a traditional X receiver at just 5’11”, 190 pounds, but he’s a hyperactive mover with electric quickness, acute angle freedom, and reliable hands — a high-quality complement to Lamb.”
Dallas’ Offense Needs to Improve in 2025
The 2024 season was one to forget for Dallas. With the team already struggling, Prescott’s season-ending injury against the Atlanta Falcons in November all but ended the Cowboys’ playoff chances.
Only two teams averaged fewer rushing yards per attempt than Dallas did in 2024 (4.0), while none scored fewer rushing touchdowns (six). If the Cowboys are to have any success this coming campaign, new additions Javonte Williams, Miles Sanders, and Jaydon Blue will need to step up.
2025 will also be a big year for the likes of KaVontae Turpin and Jalen Tolbert, who will likely be competing for the third wide receiver spot on the Cowboys’ depth chart. Both have shown flashes of playmaking ability in the past, but the team would no doubt love to add a consistent threat to drag defensive eyes away from Lamb and Pickens.
If neither can take a leap in 2025, though, Williams may well find himself on the Cowboys’ radar next April.
