The Dallas Cowboys have quietly undergone a roster makeover in recent years, getting younger in key positions. Gone are notable veterans like Demarcus Lawrence, Cooper Rush, and Eric Kendricks. Quarterback Dak Prescott is now one of the veterans on the team at 31 years old.

#1 – Bryan Anger, Punter (36 years old, born October 6, 1988)
Bryan Anger is the oldest player on the roster at 36 years old. He joined the Cowboys in 2021 and has not missed a single game during his time with the team.
#2 – C.J. Goodwin, Cornerback (35 years old, born February 4, 1990)
The veteran cornerback is the second-oldest player on the roster at 35. Goodwin has been a mainstay on the Cowboys’ roster since joining the team in 2018, and he re-signed with Dallas on a one-year contract this offseason.
#3 – Dak Prescott, Quarterback (31 years old, born July 29, 1993)
Dak Prescott is now the longest-tenured Cowboy, having joined the team as a fourth-round draft pick in the NFL Draft. Prescott is also the starting quarterback and the highest-paid player on the roster.
#4 – Donovan Wilson, Safety (30 years old, born February 21, 1995)
Donovan Wilson has been with the Cowboys for the third-longest time among active players, behind only Prescott and Goodwin. Wilson was a sixth-round pick in 2019 and has played 83 games for the Cowboys. Wilson was the starting strong safety last year.
#5 – Brandon Aubrey, Kicker (30 years old, born March 14, 1995)
Brandon Aubrey is the fifth-oldest Dallas Cowboy. He joined the team after impressing as a Birmingham Stallion in the USFL. Aubrey is also a former soccer player who made the All-USFL team in 2023.
#6 – Will Grier, Quarterback (30 years old, born April 3, 1995)
This is Will Grier’s second stint with the Cowboys, having been cut when Dallas first traded for Trey Lance. He will be the primary backup this season with Lance now with the Chargers and long-time Cowboys backup Cooper Rush now a Baltimore Raven.
#7 – Dante Fowler, Linebacker (30 years old, born August 3, 1994)
Dante Fowler is one of the most experienced players on the Cowboys, as he entered the NFL as a 20-year-old first-round pick of the Jaguars in 2015. Fowler has amassed 55.5 sacks with five different teams. This is his second stint with the Cowboys after a one-year sojourn with the NFC East rival Washington Commanders last season.
#8 – Dakoda Shepley, Offensive Tackle (30 years old, born December 27, 1994)
Canadian Dakoda Shepley is the eighth-oldest player on the roster. Shepley has bounced between several NFL teams and also had a stint with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2019. This is Shepley’s second stint with the Dallas Cowboys. He played in three games for the team last season.
#9 –  Darius Harris, Linebacker (29 years old, born January 17, 1996)
Darius Harris originally joined the Dallas Cowboys last August, but was cut before being reinstated to the practice squad. He was then promoted to the active roster last December. Harris is now expected to play a larger role on the defense this season.
#10 – Malik Hooker, Safety (29 years old, born April 2, 1996)
Malik Hooker, a 2017 first-round pick of the Colts, has been with the Dallas Cowboys since 2021. Hooker was the starting free safety last season and is expected to retain the role in 2025.
