Five straight losses. A 7-10 record. Mike McCarthy’s exit. The Dallas Cowboys’ 2024 season collapsed after a promising 3-2 start leaving fans wondering if this team can bounce back and become a legit contender in 2025. Now, with new leadership and major changes, only three Cowboys made PFSN’s Top 100 Players list for the 2025 season.

Which 3 Cowboys Made PFSN’s Top 100 NFL Players List?
The Cowboys have yet to pay Micah Parsons, but he remains the franchise’s unanimous star and leads them in PFSN’s list of the Top 100 NFL Players. Last year, he recorded his fourth 12+ sack season en route to his fourth-straight Pro Bowl appearance and is ranked the 16th-best player in the league.
“The 26-year-old edge rusher registered 12 sacks (tied for fifth in the NFL), 70 pressures (seventh), and 12 quarterback hits (13th). He finished with a 16.4% pressure rate, fifth-best in the league, just one more number to quantify the level of dominance that this former Nittany Lion brings to the table,” PFSN’s Stats and Insights team wrote.
Parsons’ relentless pass rush is his calling card, but he also contributed 28 defensive stops, showing his ability to impact the game in multiple ways. His unique combination of speed, power, and versatility makes him a constant threat in opposing backfields.”
Next on the list is WR1 CeeDee Lamb, who is a year senior to Parsons and an equally important part of the franchise. Lamb recorded his fourth-straight 1,100-yard season last year, made his fourth Pro Bowl appearance, and secured his second second-team All-Pro honor.

The 26-year-old was battling a shoulder injury in the second half of the season, and still did enough to rank 32nd in the PFSN’s list. He was demanding a WR2 from the Cowboys all throughout the offseason, and Jerry Jones delivered with George Pickens, making a lethal receiving trio for America’s team.
Why Does Dak Prescott’s Ranking Raise Concerns?
The third and last Cowboy to make the list is Prescott, and while it is an impressive feat considering he missed nine games due to injury, his ranking of 98 is concerning. It, however, is justified given that he finished with the lowest passer rating of his career, 86.0.
“Prescott’s advanced numbers were worse than we’re used to seeing from him, including a 72.4% adjusted completion rate (34th in NFL) and -0.088 EPA per dropback (26th). But the small sample size and Prescott’s play in recent years suggest it’s not time to panic yet,” Austin wrote.
“Prescott finished third in PFSN’s QB+ metric in 2023 and was a top-12 quarterback in the metric in the five previous seasons. A top-tier wide receiver duo of CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens could help him get back on track.”

While Prescott’s regular-season numbers are good, as evident by the QB+ metric, his record in the postseason is 2-5 and a bit of a concern for the Cowboys heading into the 2025 season. Dallas has a strong team on paper to make a deep playoff run, and whether Prescott can lead the offense in crunch moments remains to be seen.
The Cowboys have made some significant changes ahead of the 2025 season, including promoting offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to the head coaching position. But with just three players in PFSN’s list of the Top 100 players for the 2025 season, the expectations for America’s team aren’t sky high.
