Taken in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Cooper Kupp was expected by the Los Angeles Rams to be a part of their offensive operation. However, no one could have foreseen the success he’s enjoyed during his time in the NFL. A Triple Crown winner, Offensive Player of the Year, and Super Bowl MVP, Kupp has carved out an astonishing resume in less than a decade in the league.
After the Rams decided to move on from him this offseason, the veteran wide receiver found a new home with the Seattle Seahawks, and he figures to be a major part of their reclamation project. However, today, we are diving deeper into the woman who makes him as successful as he is, his wife Anna Croskrey.
Who Is Anna Croskrey?
Anna Marrie Croskrey (now Kupp) is a native of Richland who went to Richland High School in Washington. It was at the high school level that she first met her future husband, while he, too, was a senior at Davis High School in nearby Yakima.
At a track event, Kupp received a medal from his partner, and he was immediately smitten. “I knew that she was the one that I wanted to marry when we had first met back in high school,” Cooper told ESPN in February 2022. “I told my mom the day I met her, ‘I’m going to marry this girl.'”
From there, the two were going strong until she joined the University of Arkansas. However, with the distance becoming unbearable, the two decided to get engaged in March 2014, and Croskrey transferred to Eastern Washington University shortly thereafter.
An athlete in her own right, she participated in basketball, volleyball, track, and cross-country. In college, she competed as a heptathlete at both the University of Arkansas and Eastern Washington University.
During that time, she had to go the extra mile for the relationship, as she worked full-time at a local restaurant to support the pair. In that same conversation with ESPN, she revealed, “I supported us monetarily through college. I was working full time so that he didn’t have to worry about that, so that he could focus.”
The work she put in during that time, or has continued to since, isn’t lost on Kupp. He added, “Without a doubt, there’s no doubt in my mind, not only would I not be here where I am today without her or accomplishing the things that I would be doing.”
Nearly a year after getting engaged, the two decided to tie the knot officially in a 400-guest ceremony on June 20, 2015. The entire ceremony had a football theme, with Kupp carrying his newlywed bride while wearing a football helmet that she put on him. Additionally, her garter was tied around a football that he threw.
In July 2018, shortly after he finished his first season in the NFL, they welcomed their first son, Cooper Jameson Kupp, nicknamed “June” for Junior. Three years later, they welcomed their second child, Cypress Stellar Kupp, in January 2021, before Solas Reign Kupp joined the family in June 2023.
A mainstay on the sidelines since his collegiate days, Anna has been among Kupp’s biggest supporters. She even watches film with him off the field as an athlete herself and leaves cookies for him and his teammates in the locker room. Together, they also host the “Daily Grind” podcast.
