A scary situation unfolded live on air, with a veteran analyst fainting on camera, leaving the NFL audience bewildered.

The NFL world received a major shock during the latest episode of “Pro Football Talk.” The NBC show, hosted by veteran insider Mike Florio, was going through proceedings as usual, with regular co-host Michael Holley in attendance.

However, the entire scene turned horrifying as Holley seemingly collapsed while the show was live on air. As the feed was cut off abruptly, fans’ worry about his condition was palpable.

Mike Florio Provides Update on Michael Holley

“Pro Football Talk” has long been a staple of NFL programming, with Florio leading the charge for NBC. This time around, they brought in a veteran of the sports media industry with over 30 years of experience.

A radio commentator, sports reporter, author, and professor, Holley has worn multiple hats over the course of his career. A former Pulitzer Prize winner, his credentials speak for themselves.

On the show, as the two were embroiled in a conversation, Holley’s eyes started bulging out, and he quickly drifted and fainted off the camera. The feed was cut off almost immediately, with Florio providing an immediate update through his account on X.

“On Friday’s @PFT_Live , Michael Holley became overheated and fainted in the studio in his home,” Florio said. “We immediately went to a commercial break in order to get him assistance. Fortunately, Michael recovered quickly and is fine.”

“Michael was in the studio at his home,” Florio then told Awful Announcing in a statement later. “It’s very warm in there. He hadn’t had anything to eat or drink before the show. He became overheated during the show and passed out. I didn’t notice until he slumped in his seat, because I was looking at the camera, not the monitor. We went to break right away to try to get him assistance, if he needed it. Fortunately, he recovered quickly and is fine.”

The hope is that it was a one-off incident due to the heat and that Holley can return to his commitments quickly. But for those taking in the show live or hearing about the incident, the worry was immediate.

As one fan revealed, “Glad he is okay. It was really scary to watch it happen.”

Another fan added, “Glad he’s doing ok. That was scary to see live. Thanks for the update. Get well soon, Michael Holley!”

As clips of the incident spread online, others were shocked by the moment too, with one fan writing, “Holy crap, hope he is okay.”

For fans who had made “Pro Football Talk” a regular part of their calendar, the delay in the episode already made them wary.

Learning about the incident, the wishes immediately poured in for the Boston University professor.

“Glad to hear Michael’s OK. Wondered why PFT wasn’t on at scheduled time in UK tonight. Always look forward to Friday’s show with Michael,” wrote a user on X.

One fan added, “Jesus. Hoping all is well.”

Some people were anxiously waiting for an update on Holley’s condition, and an official word finally assuaged their worst fears. Another fan said, “Came to X specifically to find out about MH. Glad to hear he’s okay. Like other commenters, I urge him to get checked out.”

Cowboys beat writer Clarence Hill Jr. chimed in as well, penning a simple, “Get well, man.”

According to Florio’s words, it looks like Holley has recovered and is doing fine.
