This injury saga began three weeks ago against the Seattle Seahawks. Daniels exited that contest with the elbow issue and hasn’t taken a snap since. Before going down, he posted a 2-4 record as a starter during this brutal sophomore campaign. That regression, combined with the team’s current slide, creates a complicated situation for the coaching staff as they manage their most important asset.
However, Daniels clearly views the situation differently from the pundits. With six games remaining on the schedule, he is targeting a return to action, provided he gets the medical green light. This determination runs counter to the idea that the team is already looking ahead to next season.
