After weeks of speculation, rumors, and leaks around the 2025 NFL Schedule, we finally have the full NFL schedule out, and like each year, a simple season preview has turned into a creative spectacle. It turned controversial in 2025 when the Indianapolis Colts released a video mocking the Miami Dolphins’ WR Tyreek Hill.
Colts Delete NFL Schedule Release Video Featuring Tyreek Hill’s Arrest
The schedule for the 2025 NFL season was released on May 14. The first game will be between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys on September 5. The Colts will take on the Dolphins in their first game on September 7 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Colts chose Minecraft as the theme for their video. Minecraft is a game that’s trending in pop culture following the release of its movie adaptation and is also one of the most successful video games of all time.
With a charming visual style, the team poked fun at its opponents and took a jab at the Dolphins’ wide receiver over an incident that happened during Week 1 of last season. The footage showed a dolphin swimming before a Coast Guard ship showed up and arrested it. The reference was likely to Hill’s detention ahead of Miami’s season opener last year.
BREAKING: The Indianapolis #Colts DELETED their 2025 schedule release video just an hour after posting it.
😳😳😳
The team likely deleted it because they had the Coast Guard arresting #Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (@cheetah) in the video.

Hill was detained while driving to Hard Rock Stadium for the Dolphins’ season opener against the Jaguars. He reportedly ignored police instructions and was briefly handcuffed before being let go.
That same day, Hill played and balled out, scoring a touchdown and racking up 130 receiving yards. After the score, he even made fun of the arrest by pretending to be in handcuffs during his celebration.
The Colts’ video played off that moment. In their version, a dolphin is shown swimming before a Coast Guard ship shows up and arrests it. While the moment was used for laughs, some might also take it as a critique. Hill later said the officer acted aggressively and didn’t know why he was being treated that way.
Either way, it wasn’t the only reason the Colts did it. The Los Chargers had already released a similar-themed Minecraft video roasting their opponents, and they have been doing these creative releases for the last few years now, making the Colts appear as if they have copied.

Another issue was that while the Chargers’ release video says “Minecraft used with permission from Microsoft Corporation” at the start of their video, the Colts do not, and it could have prompted a call from the legal team.
