Coach Prime’s Son Deion Jr. Alerts Siblings About Former Cowboys Star’s $100K Bonus Post-Colorado’s Blowout Win

Coach Prime has triggered a further $100,000 bonus for leading Colorado to a 9-3 season and bowl eligibility.

Colorado coach Deion Sanders, aka Coach Prime, led the Buffaloes to a 52-0 blowout win against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Week 14 of college football action. The win gave the Buffs a 9-3 record and a slim chance to make the Big 12 championship game should other results go their way.

The win also netted Sanders an extra $100,000 bonus; Sanders’ bonuses were triggered after he won six games with Colorado a few weeks ago and led the team to bowl eligibility for the first time in eight years ($300,000).

Deion Sanders Jr. Draws Attention to Coach Prime’s Earned Bonus

On X (formerly known as Twitter), Coach Prime’s eldest son, Deion Sanders Jr., aka Bucky, hilariously pointed out to his siblings, Shilo, Shedeur, and Deiondra the payment due to their father.

Look y’all,” he said, tagging his trio of siblings.

Coach Prime has triggered a total of $600,000 in bonus payments so far this season, $300,000 for reaching bowl eligibility and another $100,000 for every subsequent win.

Deion Sanders Emotional on Losing Stars Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter

In a clip posted from the Buffs’ dressing room after Colorado beat the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Coach Prime was emotional in a speech to his departing seniors including the NFL-bound Travis Hunter as well as his sons Shedeur and Shilo.

“Hey seniors, I’m proud of y’all, I’m proud of y’all,” Coach Prime said. “I love y’all, I appreciate y’all. Some of y’all it hurts my heart to see that y’all leaving. It truly got me emotional before the game because I can’t fathom going out there in that stadium without y’all because of how much y’all mean to me and how much y’all mean to this program. Y’all helped to shape what we have now is a real Buff nation.”

The charismatic coach was insistent during his postgame news conference that the game against the Cowboys would not be their last and that the Buffs would see their NFL-bound stars playing in Colorado jerseys again.

He indicated that they would appear for the Buffaloes in their bowl game later in the year even though most prospects who intend on declaring for the draft usually sit out their team’s non-playoff bowl games.

“Our kids are going to play in our bowl game because that’s what we signed up to do,” Coach Prime said. “We’re going to finish. We’re not going to tap out because that throws off the structure of next season. There’s a couple of teams, you take note, they lay an egg in the bowl game and they haven’t recovered since. We don’t plan on doing that. We plan on going out there and fighting just like we fought today.”

The Colorado Buffaloes have been projected to appear in the Alamo Bowl, which will be played in San Antonio, Texas on Dec. 28, by which time Hunter could be a Heisman Trophy winner.
