C.J. Mosley spent a decade dominating NFL offenses as one of the league’s most feared linebackers. Now he’s ready to dominate the business side of football. After hanging up his cleats following an injury-shortened 2024 season, the former All-Pro has wasted no time launching his next chapter in the sports world.
C.J. Mosley Reveals Plans Post-NFL Retirement
Mosley had an outstanding 10-year NFL career, split evenly between the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets. He recorded 1,083 total tackles, 687 solo tackles, 55 tackles for loss, 12.0 sacks, 40 quarterback hits, 12 interceptions, 10 forced fumbles, and three defensive touchdowns in 133 career games.
The 17th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft was named an All-Pro five times while also earning five Pro Bowl nods. After an injury-plagued 2024 season that limited him to just four games, Mosley announced his retirement from football last month.
However, he wasted no time in launching his next endeavor, as he announced on Tuesday that he is launching a full-service sports agency titled Legacy Trust Sports Group. His longtime business partner, Brandon Wassel, will serve as the co-founder.
Why Did Mosley Choose the Agency Route Over Coaching?
Mosley was considered one of the best linebackers in the NFL during his playing days, earning Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors in five of the eight seasons in which he played at least 14 games. The 2014 Defensive Rookie of the Year runner-up issued a press release on Tuesday to announce that he will now transition into the sports agency world, stating:
“Launching Legacy Trust Sports Group is deeply personal to me. Over the course of my 11-year career, I’ve learned that while performance on the field can open doors, it’s who you are off the field that defines your legacy. I’ve lived the highs and lows of this game. I know what these athletes are going through – because I’ve been there. Coaching was never my path, but guiding, mentoring and doing the right thing has always been in my DNA. Our mission is to help athletes grow not just as players but as people, throughout their careers and beyond. We want every client to feel safe, valued and confident that their future is in the hands of people who truly care. Legacy Trust will be more than just representation. It will be family.”

Building on this foundation, Legacy Trust Sports Group has assembled a comprehensive team to support their clients. In addition to Mosley and Wassel, the agency has announced five additional members of their team: senior agent Joe Gazza, vice president of player personnel AK Mogulla, director of client services Xaria Wiggins, director of football operations Gabby Singer, and head of social media marketing Cade Pribula.
