Cincinnati Bengals Practice and Injury Report: Which Rookie Had to Sit Out After Monday Injury?

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was listed as a full participant for the first time since the final practice before the Week 2 Baltimore game.

The Cincinnati Bengals held a walkthrough practice this evening coming off the Monday night win against the Rams, so the injury report is just an estimation.

Who is Practicing for the Bengals Today?

The team is listing Joe Burrow as a full participant with his calf injury, while rookie wide receiver Charlie Jones (hand) and tight end Irv Smith Jr. (hamstring) were non-participants.

Head coach Zac Taylor indicated Taylor’s injury wasn’t serious, saying he would be “limited a little bit with a hand issue.”

Taylor and Smith both were present at practice, with Taylor going through team stretch.

This is Burrow’s first full practice since the Friday walkthrough before the Week 2 game against the Ravens, which is when he tweaked the injury late in the 27-24 loss.

The decision to limit today’s work to a simple walkthrough was player-based to give them another day of recovery after the Monday night game.

“This is the schedule we feel the most comfortable with in giving our players an extra day’s rest,” Taylor said. ”

The decision to hold it at 4:45 p.m., as opposed to the usual 1:30 start time, was coach-based.

“More opportunity to game plan,” Taylor said. “More thinking about the coaches than the players on that one. We could be going right at 1:30, and it’d make no difference to them because it’s a walkthrough. This gives the coaches more time to make their cutups and scripts and stuff like that.”

For the Titans, four players did not practice – linebacker Luke Gifford (hamstring), defensive back Elijah Molden (hamstring), offensive lineman Peter Skoronski (abdomen) and defensive tackle Teair Tart (knee).

Four others were limited – wide receiver Treylon Burks (knee), edge rusher Harold Landry (hamstring) and former University of Cincinnati tight end Josh Whyle (illness).
