Chris Pratt Reflects on Seahawks’ Post Super Bowl Prayer Moment

Speaking on “The Today Show,” Pratt described what he witnessed inside the locker room after introducing the Seahawks before kickoff and watching them win the Super Bowl. He recalled the players’ reaction upon returning to the locker room.

“That was the best,” he said. “That was one of the best moments of our life. It was cool. The best part was, I mean, winning the Super Bowl, and then afterwards, I got invited into the locker room, and then we watched.

“It was so amazing for me and my son to see these guys, the first thing they did — they are champions of the world, you know — the first thing they did was get down on a knee and gave a huge prayer.

Pratt added that the experience left a strong impression on him and his son, as it showed a different side of the players beyond what fans typically see inside locker rooms.

“They let us join, and we joined hands,” Pratt said. “And it was so wonderful for my son to see these big, masculine grown men conquer such an amazing achievement and then immediately give glory to God. I thought it was incredible.”

Pratt’s reaction carried extra weight given his connection to the team. He grew up in Washington and has long supported the Seahawks. He is often seen around the team and has been part of major moments in recent seasons.

That connection included a role in the Super Bowl buildup. Pratt introduced the Seahawks before kickoff and then watched from the sidelines as the night unfolded.

Seattle controlled the game from start to finish, defeating the New England Patriots 29-13. The Seahawks set the tone early with a dominant defensive performance, holding the Patriots scoreless in the first half.

Running back Kenneth Walker III led the offense with 135 rushing yards on 27 carries, earning Super Bowl MVP honors. Quarterback Sam Darnold threw for 202 yards and a touchdown. The defense sealed the win with two fourth-quarter interceptions, including a pick-six that put the game out of reach.
