Chiefs Superstar Patrick Mahomes Makes Major Announcements Regarding Off-Field Ventures

Patrick Mahomes announces a partnership that extends into a sport beyond football.

Patrick Mahomes signed the largest contract in NFL history a few years ago, and while a few players have surpassed his deal in average per year, he continues to expand his personal brand as the face of the league. Now, he is branching out into other sports.

Mahomes signed a multi-year contract extension with Adidas, his long-term partner since the 2017 season. As part of the agreement, he will debut a new golf line. He is expected to contribute to the brand in the same capacity as other superstars, including Lionel Messi, who already serves as a central figure.

Patrick Mahomes Signs Contract Extension With Adidas, Will Debut New Golf Line

The quarterback signed his first deal with the brand during the 2017 season. He was drafted as a first-round pick out of Texas Tech and spent his first year on the bench as the backup for Alex Smith. When the veteran was traded to the Washington Commanders, Mahomes took over as the starter.

He became one of the faces of the NFL in his first year as a starter, when he won the MVP award. In seven seasons as Kansas City’s starter, he has five Super Bowl appearances and three rings.

Boardroom, which first broke news of the deal, noted that “the move marks another step in Adidas’ push to link its top athletes across sports and lifestyle categories.”

Mahomes became the face of the NFL after Tom Brady retired. According to Celebrity Net Worth, he has a net worth of $90 million. He also has sponsorship deals with brands such as Oakley, State Farm, and DirecTV, among others.

He continues to dominate on and off the field. Even in a challenging year for Mahomes and the Chiefs, he is still making an impact in many ways.
