Quinshon Judkins is settling into life as a Cleveland Brown and is ready to give his all for the team. The former Ohio State running back sent a message to his new teammates that he is there to win games.

New Cleveland Brown Quinshon Judkins Believes He Can Change the Organization
Judkins spoke with Gilberto Manzano of Sports Illustrated and shared that he believes his winning mentality can rub off on the Cleveland Browns organization. He was asked what he would bring to the franchise that has only three playoff appearances in more than 20 years, and this was his response:
“Really, everybody who came in with that mentality of being ready to work. I feel like for myself, as a competitor and as a player, that was one of my goals. When I come to be a Cleveland Brown, I’m coming in to change the organization, contribute, do the best I can. I know what it takes to win, so I’m going to bring that mentality here to Cleveland and do the same thing.”
Judkins has a winning pedigree, having won the college football national championship with the Ohio State Buckeyes last season. He scored three touchdowns in the national championship game, rushing for two touchdowns and 100 yards while having a receiving touchdown from one of his two catches of the game.
He has also won individual honors, winning SEC Freshman of the Year in 2022 and the Conerly Trophy as the best college football player in Mississippi in 2025.
In the interview, Judkins also shared that even after spending last season with Ohio State and now being a Cleveland Brown, the Ohio weather still gets to him. He revealed that he has stocked up on coats after only having two when he first arrived as a transfer in Columbus.
“When I first went to Ohio State, I only had two jackets in my whole closet, and now my closet is full of jackets. My mom is like, ‘You keep buying all these jackets, it’s summertime.’ I gotta change the way I dress. I got so many coats, it’s ridiculous.”
Judkins in Line To Take Over As Starting Running Back of the Cleveland Browns
Quinshon Judkins has a chance to win the starting running back spot in training camp. Nick Chubb, the third all-time rushing leader in franchise history, was released by the team in the offseason. The Browns’ running back room now consists of Jerome Ford, who took a pay cut to stay with the team earlier in the offseason, and fellow rookie Dylan Sampson.
The Browns taking Judkins with the 33rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft shows their belief in the player, and he will have every opportunity to start in Week 1.
