‘Would Beat Him Up’ – Chad Johnson Hilariously Mocks Aaron Donald After Bengals Legend’s Workout Goes Viral

Former Cincinnati Bengals star Chad Johnson hasn’t played a down since 2011, but that hasn’t stopped him from working out his mouth muscles.

Recently, the retired receiver took to social media to throw shade at a future Hall of Famer and the amount of weight he put up on the bench.

Chad Johnson Hilariously Mocks Aaron Donald

After a video clip of Johnson pumping up 120-pound dumbbells went viral, the legendary wide receiver felt compelled to share his thoughts on a comparison that was made in a post by Pro Football Action.

Johnson shared a video of himself on the bench doing five reps of 120 pounds, captioning the post: “120lb dumbbell warmup.”

His post was a response to a video shared by Donald in which he benches 130 pounds, effortlessly, like it was nothing. Reminder: Donald’s listed playing weight was 284 pounds when he retired in 2024; Johnson weighed 184 pounds upon his retirement in 2011.

No one is going to make a comparison like that without Johnson adding his thoughts to the sentiment. The former Bengal shared the article, captioning it with his trademark personality and light-hearted wit.

In case you missed it, Johnson shared the article by “Pro Football Action,” captioning it with a simple statement: “I’m bigger, stronger & would beat him up.” The absurdity comes from the fact that Donald is well-known for his otherworldly workouts, so much so that there were rumors he was making a comeback earlier this offseason.

Fans Buzzing About Comeback Rumors

Donald ended his career as one of the most dominant pass rushers of all time. He likely has a gold jacket in his future when he’s eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2029. Still, some believe the former Rams star could be eyeing a return to the NFL.

While Donald hasn’t spoken publicly about a possible return, he certainly looks the part which has started comeback buzz among fans. Many people have pointed out that he looks like he’s in the best shape of his life. That clip alone has sparked plenty of talk about whether he might come back.

Donald logged eight sacks for the Los Angeles Rams last season while racking up 23 quarterback hits and 16 tackles for loss. He was a productive player for a playoff team in 2024. The 34-year-old was an unstoppable force during his 10 NFL seasons as he recorded 111 sacks in 154 career games. Donald ranks No. 40 on the league’s all-time list for sacks.
