Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes pulled off a wild 14-13 win over Georgia Tech on Thursday night, but the victory quickly took a back seat to another talking point.
As fans watched the game unfold, one concern stood out above the rest: Colorado looked noticeably undersized, especially in the trenches.

Colorado Pulls Off Dramatic Finish Against Georgia Tech
Colorado got off to a strong start when Micah Welch scored on a 5-yard touchdown run. Georgia Tech, however, responded immediately, with Rahkeem Smith returning the ensuing kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown to tie the game at 7-7.
The Yellow Jackets later took a 10-7 lead into halftime following a 22-yard field goal from Aidan Birr.
Georgia Tech appeared to be in control late in the fourth quarter when Birr added another field goal to extend the lead to 13-7 with less than two minutes remaining.
But Colorado quarterback Julian Lewis had one final answer.
With no timeouts left, Lewis led the Buffaloes on an eight-play, 75-yard drive before connecting with tight end Charlie Williams for a 20-yard touchdown with just 37 seconds remaining. Colorado took its first lead since early in the second quarter, going ahead 14-13.
Georgia Tech still had enough time to drive into field-goal range and set up a potential game-winning 45-yard attempt. However, Colorado’s special teams unit came through with a block as time expired, sealing the one-point victory.
The Buffaloes are now 1-0, but the concerns about their size are unlikely to disappear after one win.
