No player in college football has more hype and expectations heading into the 2025 season than Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning. Not only was he the No. 1 recruit in the 2023 class, according to multiple recruiting services, but he is also the nephew of NFL legends Peyton and Eli Manning.
Given the hype, it is fair to say that Texas fans are very invested in the young quarterback, which led to his Instagram comments exploding after Manning posted on the platform for the first time in 10 weeks.
Texas QB1 Arch Manning’s Summer Activities Generate Buzz Among Longhorns Faithful
Arch Manning has had some downtime this summer while Texas football activities are on hold until players return to campus in late July. The former five-star recruit showed off his summer in a recent Instagram “photo dump.”
Longhorns fans could not help but react to seeing what their star quarterback has been getting up to in the past few weeks, with many expressing their excitement and anticipation for the upcoming season.

One Texas fan noticed that Arch had some new swagger in the recent post, commenting, “Swag Arch unlocked.”

Another fan also saw the swagger, saying, “Insane Aura.”

Some Longhorn fans are already looking forward to seeing Arch on the field, with one saying, “Yes Sir, can’t wait to see you ball out this season!”

His Texas teammates even got involved in the comment section with Longhorn safety Michael Taafee saying, “Dopamine dealer.”

It is clear that Texas fans cannot wait to see what Arch Manning brings to the table in his first full season as the Longhorns’ starter. In 2024, Manning was the backup to Quinn Ewers, but he did start in two games while Ewers was dealing with an injury.
Manning looked as good as advertised in a limited sample size, throwing for 939 yards and nine touchdowns on 90 total attempts last season, with just two interceptions. He also added 108 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.
If he can produce in a similar fashion during his 2025 campaign, there is no doubt that he will be one of the best quarterbacks in the country.

Regardless of the massive expectations on his shoulders, it is nice to see that Manning was able to get out this summer and enjoy himself in the small time he had to be away from football. When he gets back to campus, he will hit the ground running, preparing to help lead the Longhorns to a national title.
Manning’s expectations sometimes seem like a burden to a player who has not earned or proven anything yet, but along with those expectations comes a fan base that shows love, as apparent in the comment section of his recent Instagram post.
