Faizon Brandon’s Historic Trading Card Partnership Sets New Standard

Brandon has become one of the most sought-after high school athletes in the NIL era, recently inking a multi-year exclusive deal with Leaf Trading Cards. The company announced the partnership on social media, posting:

“Faizon Brandon Partners with Leaf on Exclusive Card Deal✍🏻🏈”.

This deal places Brandon among the elite companies, as Leaf Trading Cards typically features top college and professional players in their premium card collections.

The 6-foot-4, 202-pound quarterback expressed his excitement about the opportunity, stating in Leaf’s promotional video, “I never would have thought that I would have my own trading card. So, it’s such a blessing. It really is a dream come true”. This partnership represents a growing trend of high school athletes capitalizing on NIL opportunities before college.

Brandon’s trading card deal is a reward for his remarkable junior year, which saw him lead Grimsley High School to an impeccable 16-0 season and the North Carolina Class 4A state title.

The 2024 season was a year of glory for Brandon, who covered 165 out of 214 passes for 2,814 yards with 35 touchdowns, and just two interceptions that led to an effective completion rate of 77.1%. He also had to tackle the challenge of securing 625 rushing yards along with nine touchdowns on the ground.

In the state championship game against Rolesville, Brandon completed 8 of 10 passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns, adding 37 rushing yards and another score in the 35-23 victory. This performance capped off a dominant season, earning him North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year honors and a 97.3 On3 Industry Ranking.

Brandon committed to Tennessee over Alabama, LSU, and NC State, becoming the first Volunteers’ 2026 recruiting class member. 247Sports ranks the five-star prospect as the top quarterback and overall player in his class.
