Ohio State head coach Ryan Day is going viral during this Saturday’s showdown against Texas, but not for his play-calling.
Instead, FOX cameras captured Day on the sideline in his standard black polo, only this time, fans noticed what appeared to be an accidental “wardrobe malfunction.”
Social Media Reactions to Ryan Day’s New Look
Social media immediately lit up with jokes. One fan quipped, “Coach if we win the natty you have to…” Another replied quickly, “They won the natty. 😂”

Others had their own fun with creative takes, with one tweet calling it “the triple option” and another writing, “Ryan Day, I’m sorry I was unfamiliar with your game.”

While the viral clip had plenty of fans laughing, the truth is Day’s appearance hardly matters. What counts is his track record of winning, and that resume speaks for itself. In the span of just 31 days last season, Day guided Ohio State through one of the most challenging stretches in program history.
The Buckeyes toppled Tennessee, Oregon, Texas, and Notre Dame en route to the 2025 College Football Playoff National Championship. That run secured the school’s ninth national title and improved Day’s record to an astonishing 70-10 (.875).

Day now joins legends like Woody Hayes, Jim Tressel, and Urban Meyer as Buckeye coaches with national championships, proving once again that he belongs among college football’s elite.
So while fans have their laughs about Saturday’s “oopsie” moment, Day is far more focused on the scoreboard than on social media memes.
