Who are Rueben Bain’s Parents?

Bain’s father is Rueben Bain Sr., who played as a two-way lineman for Carol City. He helped lay the foundation for his son’s development into an elite defensive lineman.

Bain Sr. frequently speaks with pride about his son, saying how hard he worked to make a rapid comeback from a serious knee injury during high school.

“It makes me proud,” Bain Sr. told the Miami Herald. “It’s a proud-dad moment, man. He’s a great kid, my son – not just on the field, but off the field, no problems or anything. It just makes me proud to be able to call him my son.”

Bain’s mother, Lachande Thompson, is a longtime correctional officer who has consistently supported her son’s journey to the highest level.

“I hope there’s more awards to come, and I know there will be because that’s just him,” Thompson said after Bain was named the ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year. “And I’m definitely waiting on his diploma because that’s a must for me. But I know he’s going to grow more in his craft and just become a bigger role model for his community. I just want Rueben to be the best Rueben that Rueben can be and for the world to see why I love him so much.”
