Boise State linebacker Marco Notarainni and South Florida defensive lineman Devin Lee both had injury scares during Thursday’s games, leaving fans concerned about their status. Notarainni, a redshirt junior, was seen going down in the third quarter after making a successful tackle.

Marco Notarainni’s Injury and 2024 Season Highlights

Notarainni was escorted off the field but was able to walk on his own, showing no immediate signs of a serious injury. The Broncos have not yet released an official update on his condition.

Notarainni has been a standout for Boise State both on and off the field. In 2024, he earned College Sports Communicators Second Team Academic All-America, All-Mountain West First Team, and Mountain West Scholar-Athlete honors. He played in all 14 games, starting four, and tied for first in the Mountain West with two fumbles recovered, ranking 19th nationally.


Meanwhile, Lee, a defensive lineman transfer who joined South Florida in the summer of 2025 after four seasons at Vanderbilt, was seen walking off the field after an injury timeout. Lee played in 32 games at Vanderbilt, including seven as a true freshman.

In 2024, he earned the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll and contributed to the Birmingham Bowl, while in 2023, he started six games, recording 15 tackles, one tackle for loss, and three quarterback hurries.
