Louisville vs. Miami Head-to-Head Record
Since 1933, these programs have met 17 times. Miami was undefeated in the first 12 meetings between the teams, winning 11 and one ending in a tie, but Louisville flipped the script in 2006. Louisville won the matchup that year, 31-7, and has shown to be more of a threat to Miami than ever before, as the teams have each won three of the six games since, including splitting the last two meetings.

Louisville vs. Miami Prediction
Louisville enters this game with a 1-1 ACC record, including a win at Pittsburgh and a loss in overtime to Virginia. They look like one of the better teams in this conference, but they have a challenging task in this one.
Miami enters this game ranked second in the nation. With quality wins over Notre Dame, Florida, and Florida State, they are poised to make a run at a National Championship this season. Georgia transfer QB Carson Beck looks like the perfect leader for this offense, and RB Mark Fletcher Jr. looks dangerous.

While they are both great, the player who I think will make the biggest difference is projected number-one overall pick Rueben Bain Jr. I think Bain will feast on this Louisville team’s Achilles heel, which is their offensive line. I think this will be the game they cut to on draft day, showing his upside in a game and why he is worthy of such a high pick.
The Cardinals’ defense is solid, but having allowed 57 points over the last two games to lesser offenses than Miami, I think the Hurricanes will be fine. Their balance on both sides of the ball makes them a matchup nightmare for just about anyone, and Louisville QB Miller Moss has not been playing at a high enough level for me to think he could turn this into a shootout.
Prediction: Miami 37, Louisville 17
