Texas A&M running back Le’Veon Moss left the Aggies’ CFB Playoff game against the Miami Hurricanes in the third quarter with an apparent injury. Here’s the latest on his status moving forward.
Le’Veon Moss Injury Update: Latest on Texas A&M RB’s Status
The Aggies welcomed Moss back to the fold for their CFB Playoff matchup against Miami after the senior running back missed all but six regular season games due to a leg injury — but Moss’ outlook is once again cloudy after suffering an injury in the third quarter of the Aggies’ first-round Playoff matchup.
On a third down rep in the third quarter, Moss managed to get the first down for his squad, but limped off the field, took off his helmet, and returned quickly to the bench. From there, he entered the medical tent for further evaluation.
Shortly after, it was reported that Moss was walking to the locker room. As of the fourth quarter, he has not returned.
The obvious fear is that Moss re-aggravated the lower-body injury he recently returned to action from. Before leaving the game, Moss had logged seven carries for 15 yards, and one reception for five yards.
Moss, a fourth-year senior, emerged as a true every-down playmaker in 2024 with a season that saw him amass 121 carries for 765 yards and 10 touchdowns, averaging 6.3 yards per carry and a score on almost 10% of his attempts.
In six healthy contests for Moss in 2025, the former four-star recruit logged 70 carries for 386 yards and six TDs.
While health and availability have been issues for Moss, the 5’11”, 210-pound ball carrier is viewed as a draftable NFL prospect. He’s already accepted an invite to play at the Panini Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, in the lead-up to the 2026 NFL Draft.
At his size, Moss has good lean mass and quickness, as well as the versatility to be used in both phases of the game. His loss would be notable for the Aggies if he cannot return, as more pressure will be placed on quarterback Marcel Reed to create for himself.
When conclusive updates are made available for Moss, or when and if he returns to the field, this article will be updated accordingly.
