Lane Kiffin has overhauled LSU’s offense through the transfer portal, already doubling the program’s previous record for commits. He is not finished and is actively pursuing top portal tackle Jordan Seaton to take LSU’s offense to new heights.
Lane Kiffin Gets Update on Jordan Seaton’s Recruitment After Retaining Key LB
Louisiana Sports’ Matt Moscona offered the latest update on Seaton’s recruitment on Tuesday, tweeting that the offensive tackle left his LSU visit without signing, and his uncle shared a post on Instagram from Atlanta Tuesday afternoon. Moscona also reported that Kiffin had taken the MMR plane to Atlanta that night, presumably to see Seaton.
The update came just hours after On3’s Shea Dixon predicted that Seaton would commit to LSU. Seaton had previously visited Mississippi State and Miami before spending an extended period at LSU.
Seaton allowed only five sacks across 948 pass-blocking snaps at Colorado and holds a 76.9 rating in the PFSN CFB Player OL Impact Metric. He would be another big addition for Kiffin’s revamped LSU program, which also added former Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt to finish his career in Baton Rouge.
Kiffin has already prioritized keeping LSU’s defense intact, ensuring that All-SEC linebacker Whit Weeks remained with the program instead of declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft.
“One of the first goals was keeping Whit Weeks here, because I felt playing against him when he was healthy, what he would bring to the defense and what he’d bring to the team,” Kiffin said on Tuesday at The Leadership Power Breakfast. “And then I also felt when he wasn’t playing the difference in the defense. So, you know, we look for him to be a big leader in coming back.
“It was really neat. Even though he’s not from the state, I feel a lot when I talk to the players from the state, the special thing about, they genuinely have this passion and care for playing in the stadium. Even though he’s not from the state, he talked about a big part of why he came back was he didn’t want to leave LSU football where it was at.”

Week’s totals at his LSU career are 205 tackles, 16.5 tackles for a loss, 5.0 sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, four passes defended, three pass breakups, and an interception.
Everything appears to be falling into place for LSU, as Kiffin has already added over 30 players via the transfer portal. Besides that, LSU received major news Tuesday when athletic director Scott Ausberry told WAFB that the program has already received 31,000 new season ticket requests. It is more than double last year’s total for the same period.
