Smith, Tate, and Inniss Dominate Miami Training Session

The trio of Buckeyes receivers traveled to Miami, where they linked up with Williams for what appears to be a comprehensive training session. The video shows the college players performing various drills designed to improve their speed, agility, and overall conditioning.

Smith crushed the college football season of 2024 playing for the Buckeyes and being a newcomer at the same time, setting figures such as 76 receptions, 1,315 yards, and 15 touchdowns.

Smith also marked 17.3 yards per catch and claimed 96 individual points, thus revealing his bright receiver career in the college sector. His extraordinary effort, among other things, stimulated Ohio State to win a national championship, where extraordinary performances included 187 yards and two touchdowns in the Rose Bowl.

Tate became a real target of the Ohio State University football team throughout his second year and closed the season with 52 receptions for 733 yards and four touchdowns.

Inniss, who caught 14 passes for 176 yards and one touchdown in 2024, has been working to establish himself in Ohio State’s deep receiver room. The Hollywood, Florida, native was the No. 1 receiver prospect in the 2023 recruiting class and has been steadily developing his role within the Buckeyes’ offense. His first collegiate touchdown came on a 58-yard reception against Purdue in 2023.

The workout video is an amazing look at the three receivers doing drills with Williams, one of the NFL’s best running backs. A former star at Notre Dame, Williams rushed for 1,299 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2024.

He also had 34 receptions for 182 yards and 2 touchdowns. At 24 years old, he has become the focal point of the Rams’ offense, and he will likely receive a contract extension this offseason due to how valuable he was to his offense last season.

The training session in Miami is also an incredible look at how much these college players are investing in getting better at their craft in the offseason. All three of the receivers here played a major role in Ohio State’s success in 2024, which culminated in a national championship.

Smith’s unbelievable freshman season, Tate’s production regardless of who played quarterback this season, and Inniss’ progression have given Ryan Day a clear vision for how they can build this program’s future.

The video that went viral on social media demonstrates the lengths that these young athletes are willing to go to prepare for the upcoming season.
