College football offenses never seem to disappoint, with Week 3 of the 2025 season being no different. It featured several high-scoring bouts between conference foes, with a clash between the Georgia Bulldogs and Tennessee Volunteers headlining an entertaining slate.
All weekend long, points were put on the board, shifting our metrics-based offensive rankings along with it.
For the first two weeks of the season, we highlighted the best performances on a game-by-game basis. But for the rest of the season, we’ll proceed by taking into account the entire resume of every team as we continue to reveal the best — and worst — offenses in college football.
25) Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 78.8 (C+)
Haynes King continued to carry the Yellow Jackets’ offense from the quarterback position, throwing for 211 yards and running for 103 yards and a touchdown. He’s easily one of the most dynamic players in college football and has almost single-handedly risen Georgia Tech to a top 25 offense.
24) Ole Miss Rebels
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 87.0 (B+)
An injury to starting quarterback Austin Simmons didn’t stop an explosive Rebels offense, as backup Trinidad Chambliss stepped right in and performed admirably. He completed 21 of 29 passes for 353 yards and a touchdown while leading the team with 62 rushing yards and two more scores. Ole Miss put up 41 points against a solid Arkansas defense.
23) Cincinnati Bearcats
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 86.0 (B)
The Bearcats were so dominant (holding a 56-0 lead) in the first half of their non-conference matchup with Northwestern State that the two teams decided to shorten the third and fourth quarters to just ten minutes. That should tell you how good the offensive output was for Cincinnati on Saturday, an intriguing team to watch in the Big 12.
22) Nebraska Cornhuskers
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 80.9 (B-)
A week after scoring 68 points in a shutout victory over Akron, Nebraska continued its impressive scoring by hanging 59 points on Houston Christian.

Three different quarterbacks contributed to 362 passing yards and three touchdowns, aided by a rushing attack that totaled 192 yards and four more scores.
21) Wisconsin Badgers
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 78.1 (C+)
Wisconsin had a rough go of it against Alabama on Saturday, scoring just 14 points and finishing with 209 total yards. Backup quarterback Danny O’Neil simply wasn’t good, completing 11 of 17 passes for 117 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. The run game couldn’t get anything going, finishing with a paltry 2.7 yards per carry.
The disappointing loss belied two solid offensive outings in the first two weeks of the season.
20) Tennessee Volunteers
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 79.5 (C+)
Despite the loss, the Volunteers’ offense passed its first SEC test with flying colors. Quarterback Joey Aguilar stood out for the third consecutive week, throwing for 371 yards and four touchdowns — three of which to wide receiver Chris Brazzel II, who produced one of the best pass-catching outings we’ve seen this season.
19) Ohio State Buckeyes
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 80.0 (B-)
Coming off a 70-point performance in Week 2, the Buckeyes’ 38 points may seem like a disappointing mark. But the offense showed continued signs of improvement, namely with the connection between quarterback Julian Sayin and star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith. They connected nine times for 153 yards and a touchdown, proving to be a reliable duo.
18) Purdue Boilermakers
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 78.7 (C+)
For the first time this season, the Boilermakers failed to score 30 points as they managed just 17 points. This offense is bereft of talent, but had pieced together solid efforts prior to Week 3. Quarterback Ryan Browne has to clean up his three interceptions against the Trojans, but also passed for 305 yards and a score as he moved Purdue down the field.
17) Miami Hurricanes
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 84.9 (B)
Miami seems to get better each week, as they hung 49 points on 18th-ranked USF thanks to an explosive offensive performance.

Though quarterback Carson Beck threw two interceptions, he also passed for 340 yards and three touchdowns, moving himself up the Heisman Trophy odds once again and inspiring confidence that the Hurricanes’ offense could carry them to a College Football Playoff berth.
16) Illinois Fighting Illini
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 79.5 (C+)
The Fighting Illini got off to a slow start against Western Michigan, holding just a 10-0 lead at the half. But they exploded in the second half for the second straight week, coming away with a 38-0 victory thanks to another efficient outing from quarterback Luke Altmeyer, who’s now up to 709 passing yards, eight touchdowns and no interceptions on the season.
15) Mississippi State Bulldogs
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 86.9 (B)
Fresh off their upset win over Arizona State, Mississippi State put 63 points on the board against an inferior Alcorn State team. The running game led the way, as the Bulldogs carried the ball 36 times for 282 yards, a healthy 7.8 yards per carry, and six touchdowns.
14) Rutgers Scarlet Knights
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 80.0 (B-)
Rutgers’ offense rolled in Week 3, scoring 60 points thanks to another fantastic day from quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis. The senior threw his seventh touchdown pass of the season and reached 820 passing yards while continuing his mistake-free play style, as he’s yet to toss an interception.
13) Auburn Tigers
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 82.3 (B-)
The Tigers jumped all over South Alabama, holding a 28-9 lead at the half. They didn’t finish the job as they would’ve liked, producing just three second-half points. Top running back Jeremiah Cobb led the way, totaling 119 rushing yards and a touchdown with quarterback Jackson Arnold also adding two scores with his legs.
12) Indiana Hoosiers
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 90.1 (A-)
For the first time all season, transfer quarterback Fernando Mendoza looked at home in a new offensive system.

On Friday night against in-state Indiana State, Mendoza completed 19 of 20 passes for 270 yards and five touchdowns — a solid stat line, to say the least. Four of his touchdowns went to wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr., who also went over 200 yards receiving.
11) Texas Tech Red Raiders
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 81.9 (B-)
Despite a lengthy weather, the Red Raiders came out firing against Oregon State, as they leapt out to a 28-0 halftime lead and cruised to the finish line. Quarterback Behren Morton continues to make his case as one of the top players in the Big 12, as he tossed four touchdowns and amassed 464 yards on 35 attempts.
10) Alabama Crimson Tide
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 80.0 (B-)
Alabama produced another impressive offensive outing in Week 3, taking care of Wisconsin with quarterback Ty Simpson throwing for 382 yards and four scores with just five incompletions. Curiously, the run game struggled to get going, totaling just 72 yards. That’s something to keep an eye out for, but if Simpson plays at this level, the Crimson Tide won’t lose many games.
9) Missouri Tigers
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 83.3 (B)
Transfer running back Ahmad Hardy was the standout for the Tigers, as he carried the ball 22 times for 250 yards and three scores. He’s now up to 462 yards and five touchdowns on the season, reaching triple digits in rushing in all three weeks. With the dynamic Beau Pribula quarterbacking the team and Hardy running hard, the Tigers will be a problem in the SEC.
8) TCU Horned Frogs
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 86.6 (B)
The Horned Frogs made their case as one of the top offenses in college football on Saturday, as they rolled to a 28-point halftime lead thanks to four touchdown passes from quarterback Josh Hoover. TCU has a talented, balanced group that should create more fireworks once Big 12 play begins.
7) Oregon Ducks
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 83.3 (B)
Week 3 wasn’t the prettiest for the Ducks, who scored just 34 points after averaging 64 points across the first two games. Despite the lack of points, the offense played a clean game for the most part, finishing with no penalties and converting seven of 11 passes. This shouldn’t dissuade any thoughts of Oregon operating with one of the most dynamic offensive units in the country.
6) Florida State Seminoles
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: Bye
The Seminoles had the week off after hanging 77 points on East Texas A&M in Week 2. Week 4 should be no different, as they’ll host Kent State in what should be a high-scoring blowout victory behind star quarterback Tommy Castellanos.
5) Utah Utes
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 81.2 (B-)
The Utes got off to an uncharacteristically slow start on the road against Wyoming, holding just a 3-0 lead at halftime. But as soon as the second half began, quarterback Devon Dampier took over. The former New Mexico starter totaled 230 passing yards and a team-leading 86 rushing yards as Utah put up 28 second-half points and cruised to a victory.
4) USC Trojans
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 78.7 (C+)
Saturday’s matchup with Purdue didn’t result in fireworks for the Trojans, who’d scored 73 and 59 points in Weeks 1 and 2, respectfully, but they still had a solid day in scoring 33 points. The offensive line moved the line of scrimmage repeatedly, leading the way to a productive day on the ground for USC.
3) Vanderbilt Commodores
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 80.2 (B-)
The Commodores pulled off the upset of 11th-ranked South Carolina in part due to an efficient offense, as they converted six of 12 third down conversions. Quarterback Diego Pavia isn’t the most careful with the ball, but he sure does make plays. He finished with 177 passing yards and two touchdown in Vanderbilt’s banner win.
2) Washington Huskies
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: Bye
The Jonah Coleman show was put on pause this week, the Huskies enjoyed a bye prior to a Week 4 meeting with in-state rival Washington State — who just allowed 59 points to North Texas including 5.6 yards per carry and four rush touchdowns. Expect Coleman to have a big day on the ground and add to his season totals of 288 yards and seven touchdowns.
1) Arkansas Razorbacks
Week 3 PFSN OFFi Grade: 88.7 (B+)
The Razorbacks suffered a tough road loss to a superior Ole Miss squad, but the offense wasn’t to blame.
Through three games this season, QB Taylen Green leads the country in yards of total offense (1,173) and yards of total offense per game (391.0).

— Razorback Communications (@RazorbackComms) September 14, 2025
For a third consecutive week, quarterback Taylen Green was excellent both through the air and on the ground. In all, he compiled 420 total yards and a pair of scores in helping Arkansas put 35 points on the board.
