Heading into Week 11, programs are preparing for the most crucial stretch of the 2025 college football season. The final three or four games will determine bowl eligibility, job security for coaches, and College Football Playoff hopes across the country.
However, many teams are battling the injury bug at this point in the year, and several of the nation’s top players are expected to miss action this weekend. Here’s a look at some key players dealing with injuries ahead of Week 11 and their current status.
1) Elijah Sarratt, WR, Indiana
Elijah Sarratt is Indiana’s top receiving option and a significant reason the Hoosiers’ offense has been so successful in 2025. However, he’s not guaranteed to play in Week 11 against Penn State, as he’s reportedly dealing with a hamstring injury.
As of now, Sarratt is reportedly listed as day-to-day, leaving his status in question for the Nittany Lions game. If he can’t go, it would be a big blow to Indiana’s offense, as he ranks 36th among college wide receivers this season according to PFSN’s CFB WRi metric.
2) L.J. Martin, RB, BYU
L.J. Martin has been one of the most productive running backs in the country this season, but he suffered an injury in BYU’s Week 9 win over Iowa State. With last week’s bye giving him extra recovery time, he appears on track to return in Week 11 against Texas Tech.
On Tuesday, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that Martin is expected to play against the Red Raiders after practicing on Monday. Having him back in the lineup is massive news for the Cougars, as he currently ranks seventh among college running backs this season according to PFSN’s CFB RBi metric.
3) Isaac Brown, RB, Louisville
Issac Brown is arguably the most important player on Louisville’s offense, and the Cardinals may be without him for their Week 11 matchup against Cal after he suffered a lower-leg injury in their Week 10 win over Virginia Tech.
According to ESPN’s Andrea Adelson, Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm said the star running back will be “out a while” due to the injury. It’s a big blow for the Cardinals’ offense, as Brown ranks 55th among college running backs this season according to PFSN’s CFB RBi metric.
4) Whit Weeks, LB, LSU
Whit Weeks started the 2025 season looking like one of the best linebackers in the country, but he’s been sidelined for LSU’s last two games with a lingering bone bruise in his ankle. His status is now in question for the Tigers’ crucial Week 11 matchup against Alabama.
On3’s Pete Nakos reported Wednesday that Weeks is doubtful for the game against the Crimson Tide. That’s tough news for LSU’s defense, as Weeks ranks 36th among linebackers in the country this season according to PFSN’s CFB LBi metric.
5) Ben Brahmer, TE, Iowa State
Iowa State tight end Ben Brahmer suffered a scary injury during the Cyclones’ Week 10 loss to Arizona State. After catching a pass late in the fourth quarter, Brahmer suddenly collapsed on the field and was immediately taken to the hospital.
Fortunately, Brahmer is reportedly okay and in good spirits. However, head coach Matt Campbell said there’s no clear timeline for his return, and he likely won’t play in Iowa State’s Week 11 matchup against TCU.
Losing Brahmer is a big blow to the Cyclones’ offense, as he ranks 52nd among college tight ends this season in PFSN’s CFB TEi metric.
