Arizona State’s Incoming Freshmen Summer Arrivals Are Now on Campus

The university recently released a video titled “Home Sweet Home” to welcome its new summer class. The joy and pride of new Sun Devils walking onto campus for the first time were recorded in the clip. It showed students moving into their rooms, exploring campus, and sharing their first impressions.

All of them sounded very positive about getting a jump start on academics, athletics, and campus life. It also seems like ASU is rolling out the maroon-and-gold carpet to ensure they feel like part of the Sun Devil family.

Among the featured freshmen is Benjamin Alefaio, a safety for ASU’s football team, who shared, “Just got here, I play safety and I’m ready to roll.” Another student, Daeshon Morgan, a defensive lineman who arrived from Austin, Texas, added, “Played for Vandegrift, go Vipers. Ready to get to work, you know what I’m saying? The Lord blessed me with this opportunity and it’s time to make things happen for the family.”

The goal of this video was to make summer-start students feel just as important as fall-start students. Many of these students participate in early academic programs, sports training, or summer preparation activities. These programs make it easier for them to get used to college life. Welcoming them with open arms shows that ASU cares about each of their journeys.

The clip has drawn several supportive comments from Sun Devils fans. One user, @drinkonthesly, cheered, “Congratulations guys! Welcome to the family,” while @yrn7xcj added, “My dawg moved in. Congratulations!” @benjiicoleman chimed in, “Best decision they coulda ever made!”

Others shared heartfelt encouragement, like @khasidee, who wrote, “Hey there, nephew! Wishing you all the blessings on your journey! Go out there and shine, my guy! You’ve got this! 🌟” And of course, some comments showed their spirit, like @sundevilemily42, who wrote, “GO Devils!”

No doubt, with this initiative, every student feels like part of the Sun Devil family right from the start. Moreover, the way fans welcomed them reflects the strong culture the university is building.

ASU is really doing everything possible to establish itself as a true Big 12 force after transitioning from the Pac-12 in 2024.
