‘It Means A Lot’ — 4-Star 2027 QB Teddy Jarrard Shines at Rivals Camp, Gets Dream Offer From Notre Dame

2027 QB recruit Teddy Jarrard turned heads at the Rivals Five-Star challenge with a standout performance resulting in a dream offer from Notre Dame.

As the 2026 college football recruiting cycle begins to wind down with most of the top prospects in the class finding their homes, the 2027 recruiting cycle is starting to heat up.

Programs were allowed to begin contacting 2027 recruits on June 15, and schools are already extending offers to top talent across the country. Among them is Notre Dame, which just offered one of the top quarterbacks in the class.

Notre Dame Extends Offer to Elite 2027 QB Teddy Jarrard

Teddy Jarrard just wrapped up his sophomore season at North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Georgia. According to MaxPreps, the young quarterback threw for 2,647 yards, 31 touchdowns, and just five interceptions last season.

That performance caught the eye of numerous Division I programs, and he’s already earned 32 offers. He’s ranked across recruiting sites as either a three-star or a four-star quarterback.

For example, 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 17 quarterback and No. 217 overall prospect, while Rivals lists him as the No. 21 quarterback. With plenty of more rankings needed to fill out the 2027 class, he’ll likely finish the cycle as a five-star.

One of the most recent offers Jarrard received was from Notre Dame. He had been waiting for this offer for a while, as the Fighting Irish determined which quarterbacks they thought were the best in the 2027 class.

Jarrard detailed what it means to get an offer from the Fighting Irish to Rivals’ analyst Tyler James.

“It means a lot,” Jarrard told James. “When they’re taking their time, it means it matters.”

It’s a big-time offer to get at such a young age, but it speaks to the level of talent Jarrard has. The young quarterback just competed at the Rivals Five-Star Challenge earlier this week, where the recruiting site named him the MVP of the camp.

It’s clear that Jarrard is making waves in the recruiting world early into his high school career, and he will enter his third year as the starter for North Cobb this fall, where he will look to raise his stock as a prospect even more.

Notre Dame isn’t the only school making an early push for Jarrard. Michigan and Ohio State have both had him on campus for camps this spring, and both programs, like the Irish, have offered him.

Jarrard likely won’t decide where he is playing until next spring, but it’s clear that the interest from top programs is there, and it would appear that the Fighting Irish might already have a leg up on the other programs.
