The Dallas Cowboys had a disastrous 2024 season, finishing with a 7-10 record and failing to make the playoffs. The Cowboys had three straight 12-win seasons in the years prior, but the offensive struggles last season have left the fans disappointed. However, one of the stars is vowing to get back into top form in 2025.

Cowboys Star Receiver Vows To Get Back into Top Form in 2025
A big part of the Cowboys’ struggles in 2024 was losing their starting quarterback in Week 9. Now, with the hope that Dak Prescott will be healthy again come September, the team has pulled off several trades to get back into competing for the Championship.
The Cowboys’ star receiver, CeeDee Lamb, was arguably the best player on the team last season. But his performance was nowhere close to how he performed in 2023, and when a fan reminisced about his performance from that season, Lamb vowed to script similar performances in the upcoming season.
“It’s coming back. Just wait on it,” Lamb wrote.

Lamb recorded 101 receptions for 1,194 yards and six touchdowns in 15 games for the Cowboys last season before his season ended in the Week 16 fixture against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He had been dealing with an AC joint injury for most of the season and started experiencing pain in his right shoulder during the Week 9 clash against the Atlanta Falcons.
However, a year prior, Lamb had a career year, ultimately earning him a four-year deal worth $136 million with the franchise. The 26-year-old posted career highs in catches (135), receiving yards (1,749), and touchdowns (12), earning First-Team All-Pro honors, a third consecutive Pro Bowl selection, and cementing his status as one of the NFL’s elite wideouts.
Yet for all of Lamb’s greatness, the Cowboys have struggled to put other downfield weapons on the field with him over the years, and he repeatedly asked them to add one this offseason. Last season, tight end Jake Ferguson was second behind Lamb in targets with barely more than half, but no one other than Lamb topped 620 yards, and it had been a struggle finding anyone who could be a true No. 2 wideout until Jerry Jones pulled off a trade for George Pickens.
Pickens could be just what Dallas needed. The 2022 second-round pick is coming off a season in which he caught 59 passes for 900 yards with three touchdowns, but the year before saw him snag 63 passes for 1,140 yards and five scores.
A tantalizing mix of playmaking and potential, Pickens will slot in as the Cowboys’ No. 2 receiver and give Prescott a solid one-two punch to lead Dallas to a deeper postseason run.
