Miami Hurricanes senior quarterback Carson Beck currently sits at No. 156 on PFSN’s Consensus Big Board ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. According to PFSN NFL Mock Draft Simulator data, Beck’s average draft position fell from 74.1 to 152.4 by the end of 2025.
With the 6’4, 225-pound prospect projected to go somewhere between the third and sixth rounds, after throwing for 3,072 yards and 25 touchdowns in the regular season and leading the ACC with a 74.7% completion rate, these five franchises could be in line to call the passer’s name this April.
Los Angeles Rams
Even considering MVP production in 2025, the Los Angeles Rams must consider a succession plan for the soon-to-be 38-year-old starter, Matthew Stafford, with Jimmy Garoppolo unlikely to be the long-term answer.
Could Beck jump fellow former Bulldog and Rams backup signal-caller Stetson Bennett IV, who started ahead of him in college, in line for the future Rams QB role? Many PFSN NFL Mock Draft Simulator users seem to think he has that chance, fitting the prototypical profile for a backup quarterback, as Los Angeles has become one of the top four most common destinations for Beck.
With picks at No. 13, No. 29, and No. 61 in the first two rounds, the Rams are likely to focus on more immediate needs like cornerback, safety, running back, or offensive tackle. However, with seven selections from the third round onward, Los Angeles could easily still invest in a young quarterback to develop.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns continue looking to solidify a long-term building block at quarterback, even after drafting both Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders in 2025. With five picks in the third through fifth rounds, the same range in which Cleveland selected Gabriel and Sanders, history could very well repeat itself for the Dawg Pound.
Unless Cleveland makes moves, the top two quarterbacks will likely be off the board by their No. 6 overall pick, making a selection of QB3 there a stretch.
The Browns’ No. 28 and No. 39 picks could also be too late for QB3, but a major reach for QB4 at the same time. If they take another swing at a signal-caller in the 2026 draft, rounds three through five might once again be the value sweet spot with one of their 10 total picks.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Baker Mayfield will turn 31 next season during the final year of his contract, leaving the Buccaneers to start eyeing a post-Baker future.
The 2026 draft presents an excellent opportunity for Tampa Bay to take on a developmental project, and, for better or worse, adding Beck would keep the Florida native in-state, close to his Jacksonville roots.
Beck played high school football at Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, leading the team to a Florida State Championship, and was named Florida Mr. Football in 2018.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings managed to win nine games during their 2025 campaign, though often despite an inconsistent passing attack. Just last month, Minnesota became the first team in 47 years to win a game by double digits with fewer than 10 net passing yards.
2024 first-round pick J.J. McCarthy has struggled with injuries and ultimately left a giant question mark for the organization at quarterback.
While the Vikings could easily look to add depth at cornerback and running back earlier in the draft with the No. 18 and No. 49 picks, quarterback certainly won’t be off their radar as the draft goes by.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Current backup quarterback Mason Rudolph, who has started 19 games over six NFL seasons, will turn 31 this summer. Finding a solution beyond veteran starter Aaron Rodgers, 42, is a top priority in Pittsburgh.
If the Steelers intend to maintain their streak of winning seasons under head coach Mike Tomlin for years to come, that blueprint will almost certainly involve taking a chance on a quarterback somewhere within their 12 selections this year.
Wide receiver and offensive tackle might come first in the Steelers’ 2026 draft plans from a value perspective, but quarterback shouldn’t be any further down that list. While Beck would need to quickly elevate his precision and decision-making to have an actual impact on this ready-to-compete Steelers roster, Pittsburgh holds a slight edge as the most common destination for the pocket-first operator across all PFSN NFL Mock Draft Simulator runs.
