The New England Patriots are one win from a Super Bowl appearance. As they head to Denver for the AFC Championship Game, another storyline trails closely behind them, and it lives far from the playbook.
Stefon Diggs has been central to New England’s postseason surge. His on-field production has been matched by growing off-field attention tied to his relationship with Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B. With the Patriots facing the Denver Broncos on the road, questions have naturally followed.
Cardi B’s Status for Patriots-Broncos AFC Championship Game
The answer, for now, remains unclear.
Cardi B has only attended one Patriots game in person this season. That appearance came in Week 9 at Gillette Stadium, when New England defeated the Atlanta Falcons. She watched from the owner’s box alongside Robert Kraft, celebrating as Diggs found the end zone.
That moment sparked plenty of buzz. It also set expectations that haven’t fully materialized since.
The AFC Championship Game presents a very different scenario. The Patriots are on the road. The game is in Denver. And the timing matters. Cardi B gave birth to the couple’s first child in November, just two months ago. Since then, there has been no indication she plans to travel for playoff games.
Her support, however, has been loud in other ways.
Cardi B has repeatedly shown up online for Diggs and the Patriots. She clapped back at NFL Live predictions, doubting the Patriots. She posted videos of herself screaming after Diggs’ touchdowns. The backing has been consistent, even if it hasn’t always been physical.

Diggs has noticed. Speaking to reporters earlier this week, he praised her presence in his life and around the team.
“I just appreciate the support,” Diggs said. “She’s been an amazing supporter [of] me and the Patriots.” He added that she “wasn’t a football girl before” he converted her, calling her “an amazing woman.”
The relationship itself has unfolded quickly. Rumors linking Diggs and Cardi B surfaced late in 2024. By February 2025, they were public, appearing together at a Valentine’s Day party in Miami. By November, they were parents. Since then, Diggs has kept his personal life mostly private, even as public interest has grown.
There is also no precedent for Cardi B attending road playoff games this season. Her lone appearance came at home, in a controlled setting. Denver represents a different environment, with altitude, travel, and postseason intensity layered on top.
That doesn’t rule anything out. It simply makes her attendance uncertain.
From a football standpoint, the Patriots are focused elsewhere. They face the top-seeded Denver Broncos in one of the league’s toughest venues. The stakes couldn’t be higher. Diggs’ role will be central again, regardless of who is watching.
Whether Cardi B is in the stands or cheering from afar, her presence has already been felt throughout New England’s playoff run. For the Patriots, the mission is simple. Win. Everything else, including the celebrity, remains secondary at least until the final whistle.
