Stefon Diggs’ 2025 season has been nothing short of eventful. Starting with on-field moves that eventually landed him with the New England Patriots, Diggs has been in the limelight for professional and personal news. This includes him parting ways with the Buffalo Bills and going public about his relationship with artist Cardi B.
While fans cheered him on as he returned from a torn ACL injury suffered in 2024, Diggs was no stranger to controversies surrounding his personal life.
Stefon Diggs, Currently Dating Cardi B, Confirmed to Be the Father of IG Model’s Daughter
Last year, Fashion Nova ambassador and model Aileen Lopera filed a paternity suit against Diggs. Nova initially asked the court to grant her legal and physical custody, also asking the NFL star to pay for pregnancy-related and attorney bills.
The daughter, Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera, was born in April 2025. In July, Diggs responded to the suit and asked for a paternity test. If true, the wide receiver asked for joint custody and to split the pregnancy-related costs.
This month, Lopera’s attorney, Tamar Arminak, confirmed the result as he said: “The paternity has been confirmed. Mr. Diggs is the child’s father. Now that the child’s paternity has been established and Mr. Diggs has acknowledged his daughter, my client hopes they can work toward being great parents to their child.”
Although Diggs has been confirmed as the parent, Armanik stated that the case is still pending resolution. According to Page Six’s report, Armanik noted that they will “move forward” if both parties are unable to resolve the issue themselves. Diggs or his legal team has yet to react to the news.
That being said, Cardi B announced her pregnancy in September. “I’m excited. I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong, I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work, but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby,” she told Gayle King.
Cardi B Has Previously Addressed Diggs Having Children With Other Women
While they are yet to address Lopera’s situation directly, Cardi B has previously reacted to rumors surrounding Diggs. Speaking on a September live stream on Instagram, Cardi B referenced Shirley Brown’s 1974 song Woman to Woman as she said:
“Hello Barbara, this is Shirley, yeah, it’s me. Yeah, that’s your baby daddy, bit**. Yeah, that’s my baby daddy too, girl. Well, what now? I don’t f*in know. We’ll figure it out, bit**.”
Furthermore, Cardi B has been vocal about her new relationship, including attending Patriots games and celebrating their pregnancy journey together. She even called herself ‘WAG material.’
With the 2025-26 NFL season already in Week 10, one can only expect Cardi B and Diggs to share more on-field appearances.
