Calls Mount for Terry Bradshaw to ‘Retire’ From Broadcasting As Fans Bash NFL Legend’s Embarrassing Mistake

A bizarre comment before the Packers vs. Bears game sparked immediate anger against Terry Bradshaw, who was serving in a broadcasting role.

In the week leading up to Christmas, the NFL had a shake-up to its regular schedule with a rare two-game slate on Saturday in Week 16. For the Night slot, they chose an electric encounter between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears in a game that has massive playoff implications.

However, one of the biggest storylines coming into the game was the state of the Packers’ defense without Micah Parsons, who went down with a season-ending torn ACL in Week 15. Unfortunately, before the game, Terry Bradshaw made an embarrassing mistake that fans weren’t about to let go anytime soon.

Fans Go After Terry Bradshaw for Micah Parsons Mistake

A blockbuster trade brought Parsons to the Packers just before the season got underway. For a defense that had been steadily improving over the last couple of seasons, his addition allowed them to add a game-breaking threat on the defensive line.

His immediate returns were undeniable. While signed to a four-year, $188 million contract extension that made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, he has produced at an elite level with 12.5 sacks individually, as the team started 9-4-1.

However, facing the Denver Broncos in a blockbuster game between two powerhouses, Parsons suffered a torn ACL, which immediately ended his season. It put a serious damper on expectations in Green Bay for the season, after what had been an impressive start to the year.

Bradshaw, despite his excellence and experience as the quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ “Steel City” dynasty of the 1970s, had a major mix-up coming into the game against Chicago.

On the announcing booth, he made the absurd statement, “If I’m Love, I go, ‘Oh, no Parsons, yes!” Either his words made absolutely no sense at all, or he was trying to talk about Caleb Williams and mixed him up with the Packers’ quarterback instead.

Fans, though, weren’t willing to let his gaffe go so easily. As one fan iterated what he’d done, “Terry Bradshaw, mistakenly speaking: ‘If I’m Love and I see no Parsons, I’m like yes!'” He lamented, “It’s time to call it quits on TV, man.”

Others were more sarcastic in their approach, as one fan snidely commented, “Terry Bradshaw has no idea who Micah is or what team he plays on, apparently.” As the clip of his words went viral, fans were left understandably shocked at his statement.

Some even called for his retirement, stating, “Needs to retire, not fair for him to be on air.”

While it’s hard to imagine Bradshaw giving up his spot on the announcing booth anytime soon, such mistakes aren’t easily forgotten by the NFL fan base.

So he’ll need to shore up his work in the coming weeks, or it could spiral out of control sooner rather than later.
