Caleb Banks’ NFL Draft Stock Soars Thanks To Combine: Fans and Scouts In Awe After Day 1

Florida DT Caleb Banks posted historic NFL Combine measurements, including the longest wingspan among defensive tackles since 1999.

Caleb Banks just put the entire 2026 NFL Draft class on notice. The Florida defensive tackle measured and tested at the NFL Combine on Thursday in Indianapolis, and the numbers confirmed what evaluators suspected: there is no other prospect in this class built like him.

Caleb Banks’ Combine Measurements Surprise

Banks checked in at 6’6 1/4″, 327 pounds with 35-inch arms, 10 7/8-inch hands, and an 85 3/4-inch wingspan. That wingspan is the longest among Combine defensive tackles since 1999. His arm length led every defensive lineman in the building, and his hand size landed in the 94th percentile at the position.

Then he made the measurements look modest. Banks posted a 32-inch vertical jump at 327 pounds, a number that defies everything you think you know about how a man that size should move. His basketball background at Southfield A&T in Detroit shows up in every explosive movement he makes, even after adding significant mass to his frame since arriving in Gainesville.

Banks played just three games during the 2025 season after suffering a broken foot, which kept him off the national radar for most of the year. He silenced any durability concerns with a dominant Senior Bowl performance and followed it up with a Combine showing that could push him into the top 15.

Some evaluators still flag his pad level and gap discipline as areas that need refinement, but the raw tools are unlike anything else in this draft class.

The conversation around Banks shifted Thursday. He walked into Lucas Oil Stadium as a likely first-round pick. He walked out looking like a potential top-10 selection.

Caleb Banks' war on logic and physics continues with a 5.05 40-yard dash.

Important not to double-count it -- it's been known that he's a freakish physical talent -- but good to have numbers to corroborate.

Florida IDL Caleb Banks’ measurements are absolutely astounding! 6062, 327, 10 7/8” hand, 35” arm, 85 3/4” wing span. Never reached full potential. His tape is uneven. His pads rise far too much. He had the injury this season and there’s some maturing that needs to happen. But wait until he works out at that size/length. NFL teams with strong veteran leadership on defense will be awfully tempted in RD1.
