The 2025 Masters Tournament was historic, as Rory McIlroy finally captured the career grand slam. The final round saw multiple lead changes and many iconic shots by McIlroy, and it entertained even the most casual golf fans.
WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark was on hand for the tournament and recently discussed other celebrities she saw.

Caitlin Clark Discusses Celebrity-Filled Crowd at The Masters
The Masters is professional golf’s first major tournament of the season, held at Augusta National Golf Club since 1934. The course has seen some of golf’s most iconic moments and wins by all-time greats like Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods.
McIlroy’s win cements him as one of those all-time greats and makes him just the sixth man to accomplish the career grand slam (The Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open, and The Open Championship). Clark is just one season into her professional career and is well on her way to being one of the WNBA’s all-time legends.
She averaged 19.2 points and 8.4 assists per game as a rookie, leading the Indiana Fever to he playoffs. All this was done just one month after she reached the national championship game with Iowa.
The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year sat down for an interview at Augusta National Golf Club and spoke about her experience at one of the most unique events in sports.
Clark said, “I would probably put it No. 1. It’s just so different than everything else. There’s really just nothing like this, and I think, honestly, the aspect of not having your phone is so unique. You can tell everyone is so invested, and they’re really just there to watch the greatness of the athletes.

“Even the golfers talking about it after their rounds, they feel the different level of engagement from the fans, and how invested they are. You’re really just living in the moment. And as a professional athlete, you can empathize with that, and I think that’s really cool,” Clark said.
“I just feel like a normal fan getting to follow along on the course. I saw Josh Allen, Luke Combs, and a few others last night. That’s what we all love about it. You’re just one of the normal fans walking around doing all the same exact stuff, and there’s just a peacefulness about it.”
Allen is an avid golfer in his spare time. The reigning NFL MVP has played in multiple Pro-Am tournaments and teamed up with Patrick Mahomes against Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers in a recent edition of The Match. Allen was seen with Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning at the Masters earlier in the week.
Clark also mentioned that she saw Noah Kahan in concert as part of the star-studded weekend in Augusta, Ga. The Masters has been criticized for its stringent rules over the years, but no cellphones make the tournament and Augusta National a truly unique experience.
