Cade Klubnik’s NFL Combine Workout Schedule

The NFL Scouting Combine always turns into a live audition. For Klubnik, projected as a mid-round prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft, this throwing session could reshape narratives. The arm talent is there. The mobility flashes. Today’s picks will give him a national stage to answer those questions in real time.

Klubnik is scheduled to work out on Saturday between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Stadium. Quarterbacks, wide receivers, and running backs headline the session. Running backs are expected to begin drills first, meaning quarterbacks, including Klubnik, will likely throw later in the afternoon.

The throwing session remains the centerpiece for QBs. While the 40-yard dash takes place within each position group’s window, teams focus heavily on scripted throws, timing routes, and movement drills. All 32 franchises will be watching closely, with coverage airing live on NFL Network.

The 2026 NFL Combine will run till March 1 in Indianapolis, a tradition dating back to 1987. Across four days, 319 prospects undergo medical exams, interviews, measurements, and on-field testing. Sixteen quarterbacks were invited this year, including names like Drew Allar, Garrett Nussmeier, Ty Simpson, and Klubnik.

There’s added intrigue. Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza has opted not to throw, leaving more reps and more spotlight, for the rest of the group. That opens a lane for someone to separate.

Evaluators remain split on the former Clemson passer. At 6-foot-2, 205 pounds, he flashes natural touch and RPO comfort. His rhythm passing can look effortless when the offense is in sync. But under heavy pressure, his post-snap processing and pocket adjustments have wavered. Klubnik finished 2025 with a 79.2 QB impact score in PFSN’s CFB QB Impact Metrics with a grade (C+).

That upside showed in 2024, when Klubnik threw for 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns while adding 463 rushing yards and seven scores. But his final season dipped to 2,943 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and a sharp drop in rushing production.

If Klubnik showcases the mobility, touch, and command scouts once valued as first-round traits, his stock could heat up quickly. The stage is set in Indianapolis. Now it’s about delivery.
