The Cleveland Browns face a tough decision on April 25. With the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, they have the opportunity to shape the entire draft’s direction. With numerous holes to fill across the roster, especially at quarterback, their path forward remains unclear.
However, if the Browns’ general manager had his way, he would walk away with all the answers in one fell swoop. At the Colorado Buffaloes’ Pro Day, Brown’s general manager Andrew Berry had the chance to meet with two of the top players in the draft class, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter.
Unfortunately, he left with one regret that could hint at Cleveland’s plans for the future.

Could the Browns Get Both Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter?
With Deshaun Watson out for the 2025 season with an injury, the team is going to need a starting quarterback. As a result, selecting a QB high has to be on their priority list. But after his meeting with the Heisman Trophy winner and Deion Sander’s son, Berry is feeling greedy.
“I’d say probably I leave here with, can I have both of them?” Berry told cleveland.com with a laugh. “We’ll take the whole process into mind. They’re both fantastic players, and we have the next several weeks to sort out all of the different scenarios. But today was a positive touchpoint, really, for both players.”
It immediately got fans and the media talking. The Dawgs podcast and Dawgs Digest both theorized if the team could get both players on the team. “Is there any world in which the Browns actually come away with both Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders on night one of the NFL Draft?”

Others shared a similar sentiment, calling a potential move to keep the two teammates together a fantastic idea. “It would be fantastic if the Browns could somehow land Travis Hunter AND Shedeur Sanders”

With a few other college-to-NFL duos existing in the league currently as it is, one fan wondered if the Browns were hoping for the apex of that list, Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase.
“Is taking Hunter at 2 and trading up to get Sanders in the mid/late first round the Browns version of trying to keep a Burrow/Chase connection together?”

Thanks to Berry’s comments, adding two high-profile prospects has become a trending idea for Cleveland. However, as part of their due diligence, when Cleveland met with other players, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated theorized that they could be looking at a different combo.
He claimed that a contingent of Browns officials met with Abdul Carter, while head coach Kevin Stefanski entertained Jaxson Dart out of Ole Miss, perhaps signaling their eventual draft-day plans.
With a variety of options to choose from, it remains to be seen which direction Cleveland decides to go in. But it is clear that at least one option is wildly intriguing to the front office.
