The reaction was swift and brutal for a fanbase that has endured decades of quarterback instability.

One fan commented, “Somebody tell Kevin April Fool’s Day is tomorrow.”

The Browns’ move to trade for Pickett has only added to the uncertainty surrounding the team’s quarterback future. After a short stint with the Eagles — where he picked up a Super Bowl ring as a backup — Pickett now returns to the AFC North, this time in brown and orange.
