The Cleveland Browns fanbase is known for its passionate — and often hilarious — reactions to the team’s decisions. So, when head coach Kevin Stefanski recently praised quarterback Kenny Pickett, it didn’t take long for fans to sound off online.
Recently traded to the Browns from the Philadelphia Eagles, Pickett quickly became a trending topic on X after Stefanski’s comments sparked disbelief.

Browns Fans Unleash Their Frustration After Kevin Stefanski’s Comments
Stefanski kicked the drama into high gear this offseason by offering high praise for the newly acquired quarterback.
“Kenny Pickett’s a guy I believe in, we believe in,” Stefanski said, sending Browns fans into a frenzy of frustration and sarcasm.

The reaction was swift and brutal for a fanbase that has endured decades of quarterback instability.
One fan commented, “Somebody tell Kevin April Fool’s Day is tomorrow.”
The Browns’ move to trade for Pickett has only added to the uncertainty surrounding the team’s quarterback future. After a short stint with the Eagles — where he picked up a Super Bowl ring as a backup — Pickett now returns to the AFC North, this time in brown and orange. With Deshaun Watson’s future in question following an Achilles injury, the debate rages on: Is Pickett a legitimate starter or just a temporary fix?
“Two choices: Stefanski is lying. Or … Stefanski is delusional,” one fan posted, summing up the widespread skepticism.

The Browns currently hold the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, putting them in a strong position to land a quarterback. But with doubts about the top talent in this year’s class, the front office must decide whether to move now or wait until 2026. Pickett at least gives them a stopgap — for better or worse.
One disgruntled fan quipped, “Great, there goes the season,” reflecting the lack of confidence many feel about Pickett leading the team.
That frustration also brings up lingering memories of Baker Mayfield. The former No. 1 overall pick led Cleveland to a rare playoff win before being pushed out.
“So they believe in him but didn’t believe in Baker Mayfield. No wonder they have problems,” one fan vented, pointing to the team’s long history of questionable quarterback decisions.

Even division rivals chimed in. A Cincinnati Bengals fan wrote, “As a Bengals fan, we also believe in Kenny Pickett.” Translation: Browns fans shouldn’t get too excited.

While the Browns’ front office views Pickett as part of their quarterback plan, the fanbase remains unconvinced. Until he proves it on the field, Stefanski’s vote of confidence will likely continue to fall flat.
Your new GM will fix it.
Stepanski’s just stunting.
Draft Hunter.
Draft day trade for Shedeur.
