The Denver Broncos are flying extremely high. Not since Peyton Manning’s final year starting for the team has the organization experienced such extreme highs. After finally breaking their playoff drought last season, they’ve exploded into one of the best teams in the entire NFL this year.
Tied for the best record in the AFC at 9-2, they are in the midst of an eight-game winning streak that just saw its most impressive feat come in Week 11, when they were able to take care of the Kansas City Chiefs. It certainly added some confidence to the youngsters on the roster, one of whom sent a direct message to the legendary Travis Kelce regarding his fiancée, Taylor Swift.

The problems that have plagued the Chiefs all season long reared their ugly head in the worst ways against Denver. As a result, a typically excellent spot for the team coming out of the bye turned into a massacre.
Despite having a three-point lead in the fourth quarter, they went three-and-out on their final two possessions, allowing the Broncos to take advantage. A critical interception thrown by Patrick Mahomes near the end zone was a backbreaker once again.
And, a passing defense that has been underwhelming all season long, was unable to stop Bo Nix from converting on multiple third-and-long scenarios, including a 3-and-16 in the fourth quarter that ultimately won them the game.
After the game, Jahdae Barron, taken in the first round after winning the Jim Thorpe Award as a consensus All-American in his final collegiate season, had some strong words for his opponents.
In particular, his target was the legendary tight end, who finished the game with nine receptions, 91 receiving yards, and a touchdown, but only managed 14 yards when matched up against Barron.
Sharing a picture of the moment he forced an incompletion on the three-time Super Bowl champion on his Instagram story, the 92nd-ranked player on PFSN’s CB Impact had a disrespectful message for arguably the greatest tight end of all-time.
“Tell swift [to] put me on a song. Right now.” The message was a clear shot at Kelce’s longtime girlfriend and fiancée. A global icon, Taylor Swift has been a constant presence at Chiefs games since the two started dating.
As things currently stand, the reigning AFC Champions are on the outside of the playoff bracket, with an uphill climb ahead of them. The Broncos, meanwhile, have a legitimate chance to compete for the conference’s top seed.
But a Week 17 rematch against Kansas City could turn into one of the biggest games of the year, and allow Kelce to enact revenge after Barron’s comments.
