Denver Broncos Predicted To Fill Massive Hole By Adding 48-TD RB

The Denver Broncos are in a very strong position heading into the NFL Draft. With the league’s best defense and an excellent offensive line protecting their rookie quarterback, the team has just one clear area of need – offensive skill position playmakers. And they’ll get to choose whoever they like best come the 2025 NFL Draft.

Head coach Sean Payton has made it clear that he wants a joker on the squad. With Evan Engram, they’ve found someone to fit the mold. However, the Broncos would like to expand that base some more, and one analyst has an elite athlete in mind to help Denver ease their troubles.

Denver Broncos Could Diversify the Offense Around Bo Nix

The Broncos ranked 16th on PFSN’s Offense+ metric last season, essentially the league average for the entire year. They’d like to see that number go up, which led Todd McShay to make a rather surprising choice with their 20th overall pick.

The Ohio State product, TreVeyon Henderson, is someone McShay can see being a real difference maker in the NFL, particularly in an offense led by Sean Payton.”But I would absolutely love to see Henderson in Sean’s offensive system and paired up with promising young quarterback Bo Nix.”

During his collegiate career, Henderson was a legitimate difference-maker on the field. He totaled an absurd 48 total touchdowns between the air and on the ground. His final year saw him add 1,248 rushing yards with 15 touchdowns, while also adding 312 yards and four touchdowns as a pass catcher.

For McShay, the speed is undeniable. “Henderson is a downhill runner whose explosive initial acceleration is on tape (and confirmed by his 1.52-second 10-yard split, which was tied for fifth among running backs at the combine) and has shown second-gear explosiveness (4.43-second 40).”

As a result, there were two players that he drew immediate comparisons for Henderson to. Firstly, “It’s not just when he’s going in a straight line. His feet are also so damn quick when it comes to sidestepping defenders before he accelerates upfield. In pass protection, he somewhat reminds me of Ezekiel Elliott.”

The other name? A franchise record holder for the Detroit Lions. “Henderson is more accomplished in run blocking than he is in pass protection, but his nastiness and initial power will translate. Finally, Henderson is ridiculously explosive after the catch. I think that he could become for the Broncos what Jahmyr Gibbs has been for the Lions.”

As a potential addition to the Bo Nix-led offense, Henderson makes a ton of sense. But in a loaded running back class, names like Omarion Hampton and Quinshon Judkins have long been seen as better prospects, not to mention Heisman Trophy finalist Ashton Jeanty.

As a result, Henderson might be available later on in the draft as well. The latest mock draft from PFSN, for instance, has him going in the third round to the Los Angeles Chargers with the 65th overall pick.

Instead, in the first round, Denver looks for more ball security around Courtland Sutton for their young quarterback, adding Emeka Egbuka from the Buckeyes. Ben Rolfe explained his decision as adding a reliable chain-moving threat to add versatility to Nix’s explosive arm strength.

“Emeka Egbuka is a well-built slot receiver who projects as a reliable chain mover at the next level. He has good size, strength, and athleticism. Egbuka should complement Courtland Sutton and Troy Franklin in the Broncos’ offense.”

Regardless of the player they choose, it is crystal clear the direction the Broncos want, and need, to go in.
