However, Trevor Lawrence, Jordan Love, and Dak Prescott, all of whom got their extensions in recent years, will be earning a substantial amount more than the former last pick in the draft.
Out of the $265 million, Schefter confirmed that $181 million is guaranteed overall. After several moves this offseason, the 49ers finally turned into spenders, signing George Kittle to a four-year extension worth $76.4 million before this big-money deal for their quarterback.
The AAV ($53 million) makes him the seventh-highest-paid quarterback in the league, tied with the Detroit Lions’ Jared Goff.
Unless San Francisco moves some money around, Purdy is expected to play on the final year of his original deal for the 2025 season. As a result, he will earn a base salary of $5,346,000 while carrying a cap hit of $5,365,252, making him one of the biggest bargains in the NFL.
