Is Brock Bowers Hurt? Breaking Down the Raiders Star’s Slow Start in Week 3 vs. Commanders

Here's the latest update on Brock Bowers' status after the Las Vegas Raiders star started the game slowly in Week 3 vs. the Commanders.

The Las Vegas Raiders are looking to bounce back after a tough loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football. They are trailing by 10 after the first half against the Washington Commanders who are without their star quarterback Jayden Daniels. Right now, it hasn’t been very good for the Raiders. Raiders star TE Brock Bowers has been quiet in the first half as the Raiders offense only has 10 points.

What Happened to Brock Bowers?

Bowers is not having a strong game in Week 3, but he is healthy and has been out there in the first half.

They need to get him involved in the second half if they wish to mount a comeback.

Bowers had only one catch for five yards in the first half. After breaking the rookie receptions record last season, one catch in the first half is very quiet for his standards. The Raiders’ offense must get Bowers the ball, as he is their most dangerous offensive threat and can cause problems for the Commanders’ defense.

The Raiders’ passing attack has only 100 yards, and their rushing offense hasn’t been great either. They have rushed for 54 yards and need to improve there as well. The entire offense needs to step it up; otherwise, they will be staring at a 1-2 record once the game concludes.

The Commanders are down their starting quarterback but have been efficient on offense. Veteran Marcus Mariota is outperforming Geno Smith, and the Commanders are aiming to pull away from the Raiders and put the game out of reach. But Smith and Bowers will be looking to get something going for Las Vegas before it’s too late.

Bowers’ Early Season Performance

Bowers hasn’t found his stride in his sophomore season. With a new head coach in Pete Carroll and a new quarterback in Geno Smith, it’s taking some adjusting for Bowers to get back to his rookie form. He has 10 receptions, 141 yards, and no touchdowns through the two games they’ve played.

He won’t be adding much to those tallies today as he’s been a non-factor on offense. The Raiders offense hasn’t scored the ball well at all either this year. They’ve scored 20 points, nine points, and have 10 points through two quarters today. They will not be successful if they can’t get their main weapons the ball and struggle to score as they have been through 10 quarters.
