The Cleveland Browns have one of the more unique quarterback situations in the NFL. While the conversation is mostly about the four-way competition between Joe Flacco, Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel, and Kenny Pickett, it has recently shifted to height, thanks to a viral social media post.
Flacco was pictured towering over Gabriel during a recent photoshoot session, and NFL analysts and fans alike are pouring in with hilarious reactions.

Joe Flacco Towering Over Dillon Gabriel at Browns Minicamp Draws Hilarious Reactions
Gabriel was just eight years old when Flacco made his debut in the NFL, and after 17 years, the veteran is still going strong. However, the difference between the two isn’t just about age. Flacco is technically half a foot taller than Gabriel, as per official measurements, but in a recent photo session, he appeared to be over a foot taller.

Gabriel measured 5’11″ at the NFL Scouting Combine, but several analysts have raised concerns about whether that was his actual height. One of them is FS1’s Nick Wright, who even went on to say the quarterback looked like Flacco’s son.
“I know Joe Flacco is a big guy, but he is not 6’8″ (he is 6’6″), and the way he towers over Dillon Gabriel, it looks like it’s ‘bring your son to work’ day,” he said on “The Herd.“ “I’ve never seen anything like this. It startles me how tiny Dillon Gabriel looks compared to Joe Flacco.”
Fans came up with equally hilarious reactions, with one writing, “Dillon looks like a make a wish QB standing next to Joe.”
Another fan expressed awe at Flacco’s height and joked that he looked “like a giant.”
However, most of the fans were concerned about Gabriel’s short height, which has resulted in some of his passes being batted down already.
“there is no way DG5 is 5’10,” a user wrote.
“I didn’t realize DG was so small,” a second user commented.
“Damn how tall is Flacco or is dillon 5’2?” one fan questioned.
The size narrative, while fun fodder online, won’t dictate who climbs the depth chart. Flacco remains the frontrunner to start in Week 1, and the competition for QB2 is mostly between Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders, who is also quite taller than Gabriel, a 3.5-inch gap if NFL Scouting measurements are to be believed.
Cleveland.com Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot projects Gabriel slightly ahead for now, with Sanders making a strong push. NFL analyst LeSean McCoy recently claimed on “The Facility” that Sanders will surpass Gabriel quickly, calling the Browns’ decision to draft both QBs puzzling but suggesting Sanders offers more long-term potential.
With the Browns facing a brutal early schedule and depth chart questions lingering, every rep will count. For now, the viral height comparison has only added another layer to one of the NFL’s most fascinating quarterback competitions this offseason.
