Back to Baltimore for Bozeman

Bozeman was a very well-liked figure in the Baltimore Ravens’ locker room. He served as both a center and left guard early in his career, before sticking at center for the 2021 season.

Bozeman’s 49 starts in Baltimore were filled with bruising rushing stats for the Ravens, helping anchor an offense led by superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson.

If he were to return to Baltimore, Bozeman would offer familiarity and an option at both guard positions and as a backup center to Tyler Linderbaum. Baltimore has an opening at both left and right guard after the losses of John Simpson and Kevin Zeitler.

Detroit Could Look To Add Bozeman

The Detroit Lions lost Jonah Jackson to the Los Angeles Rams, and Halapoulivaati Vaitai is a free agent. It wouldn’t break the bank to add Bozeman, who adds physicality to Detroit’s offensive line.

Money also isn’t an issue, considering that the Lions have $34,372,662 in cap room, per Over the Cap.

Detroit’s projected starters at left and right guard are Kayode Awosika and Graham Glasgow, respectively. Awosika has made five starts in his three-year career, while Glasgow has made 106. While Glasgow has proven to be steady, Awosika hasn’t just yet.

Bozeman’s edge is exactly how head coach Dan Campbell likes to play football. The six-year pro can fill in admirably.

Buccaneers Replace One Former Ravens Center With Another

Ryan Jensen retired after the 2023 season, leaving additional uncertainty up front. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to upgrade at both guard positions with Aaron Stinnie and Matt Feiler currently listed as unrestricted free agents. Feiler started six games at left guard, and Stinnie took over for the remainder of the year.

While Tampa Bay added former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Sua Opeta, he’s made just 10 starts in his four-year career. Even if he was who the team liked at left guard going forward, why not add someone like Bozeman?

Bozeman would provide some much-needed stability, versatility, and experience to the interior offensive line as they look to run it back with Baker Mayfield.

San Francisco 49ers May Be a Fit

The San Francisco 49ers are seemingly just a few steps away from a Super Bowl. One place that may get them over the hump is improvements to the offensive line.

Aaron Banks is headed into his fourth season and has started 30 of 40 games that he’s played in his career. Center Jake Brendel has started 34 games in the past two seasons. The question could be at right guard, as Jon Feliciano started seven of 16 games at the position.

While Bozeman played mainly left guard and center throughout his career, the right side may be well within his wheelhouse going forward.

Seattle Joins the Fray

The 49ers’ biggest rival also needs help on the interior. Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald, who was Baltimore’s linebackers coach for the first three years of Bozeman’s career, now leads the team.

It wouldn’t come as a shock if the two reunited. Struggles up front have been a key part of Seattle’s inconsistencies in recent years.
