Under commissioner Roger Goodell’s direction, the NFL has been expanding its global franchise and brand by adding more international games every season.
The 2025 season will include more international games than ever before. Under the league’s “Global Markets Program,” teams can develop international marketing rights in specific countries across Europe and South America.
The NFL recently released the teams that will be playing internationally this season and the location of each game, but not the dates or the opponents. Those games include the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first-ever game in Ireland. There will also be games in Berlin, Brazil, and Spain, and multiple games in London, one of which includes the New York Jets.

Denver Broncos vs. New York Jets in London?
Nothing stays top secret for long, and news of the New York Jets’ opponent was leaked on X by @nerdingtonNFL. The Jets are rumored to face the Denver Broncos in Week 6 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
Not surprisingly, upon hearing the news, fans immediately took to social media to express their feelings about the potential game.
On X, fans made the leaked post go viral. While some Broncos fans are excited, others are less than thrilled about things like the time difference. For example, in 2024, the NFL games kicked off at 2:30 PM BST (British Summer Time), which is 9:30 AM EST here in the United States.
Wack. Don’t wanna watch the broncos at 7 am lmao https://t.co/q3kLmMoGV3

@TheRealSageBell posted, “Wack. Don’t wanna watch the broncos at 7 am lmao.”
“Well I’ll be doing a wake n bake on this day starting at 630AM,” said @ftheets420
@hollywoodhoopss, “Yeah we sleeping in,” joined the fans who aren’t happy about the early start time.
Other fans are excited about watching quarterback Bo Nix excel in his sophomore season. The Broncos finished the 2024 season 10-7, far better than many expected.
Much of that success was due to Nix’s poise and confidence in the pocket during his rookie season. PFSN graded Nix 74.8, a C for the season. He led the Broncos to the postseason and was in the running for the NFL Rookie of the Year Award.
@Bobby_Toddy gave him a shout-out, “Bo Nix, Mr. Worldwide.”

“May have to make this trip!” said an excited @dzapo4 on X.
@torturedjets might be a Jets fan, but they’re excited to see these teams meet again, “PLSPLSPLSPLS I WANNA SEE THIS SO BAD.”
While in different divisions, they have played each other for the past five seasons, turning this into a mini rivalry.
Finally, the Broncos players were warned that the fan base would not accept high knees on the airplane.
Anybody who does high knees on the plane this time is getting booted out over the Atlantic https://t.co/3EFJtjWKXj

In 2022, the Broncos traveled to London to face the Jacksonville Jaguars. While other players slept on the plane, quarterback Russell Wilson reportedly did “high knees” up and down the aisles, watched film, and prepped for the game.
It was Wilson’s first season with the Broncos, and they were 2-5 heading into the game. The Broncos won that game 21-17, but everything about Wilson apparently left a bad taste in the fans’ mouths. Hopefully, Nix will find another way to entertain himself.
