‘Blatant Conflict of Interest’ — NFL Podcaster Calls Out ESPN’s Adam Schefter’s Silence on Dianna Russini, Ties to Robert Kraft

One podcaster is directly calling out ESPN's Adam Schefter for his silence on the Dianna Russini scandal amid his partnership with Robert Kraft.

The Mike Vrabel-Dianna Russini scandal has captured the public’s attention and become a tabloid circus, but many media members and outlets have remained silent on the saga.

Now, one NFL podcaster is calling out ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter for his silence on the Russini-Vrabel scandal and whether that is due to his business partnership with New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

Are Adam Schefter’s Ties to Robert Kraft the Reason for His Silence on Dianna Russini-Mike Vrabel Saga?

In April, Page Six published photos of Russini and Vrabel at an adults-only resort in Arizona. In the months since, additional photos and videos of Russini and Vrabel have surfaced and it has become one of the biggest NFL scandals in recent memory, even as certain segments of the media ignore it.

Schefter made an investment in Boom Entertainment in September of 2021, a company where Kraft is also an investor. As a result, there have been questions about Schefter’s conflict of interest and whether it would impact his reporting.

Schefter is the NFL’s top insider, yet he has largely remained silent on the Russini-Vrabel saga. Now, NFL podcaster Tony Farmer is alleging that Schefter’s business ties to Kraft may be contributing to his silence.

“He and Robert Kraft… they co-own a sports betting app,” Farmer said on the “Good Teams Win, Great Teams Cover” podcast. “You can go on the sports betting app and place bets on Patriots players whom Robert Kraft pays. To me, that’s a blatant conflict of interest.

“When this first happened in 2021, Bloomberg and a couple of other US media outlets did question and say, ‘Wait a second. If Adam Schefter and Robert Kraft are business partners, is Adam Schefter going to be able to report fairly on the New England Patriots?’ This question was raised five years ago.”

At the time, Schefter was completely silent. Now, Farmer has been vocal about Schefter’s silence on the Russini-Vrabel scandal.

“Now, we see a giant scandal involving the New England Patriots’ head coach. And Adam Schefter, you can do an advanced Twitter search; he has not tweeted the name Russini since April when the Sedona photos dropped,” Farmer said.

“Five years ago, we questioned whether he would be biased or not. Five years later, we have a scandal, and he’s not talking about it very much.”

It remains to be seen whether Schefter will eventually speak out about his alleged conflict of interest with Kraft.

For now, he remains silent even as Farmer and some others put pressure on him.
