Despite an electric offense that put up 30 points in eight consecutive games in the regular season, the Buffalo Bills need to upgrade their offensive weapons. A lackluster group led to a predictable gameplan as the Bills deployed the most conservative offense of the Josh Allen era.
Now, after another heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, Buffalo needs to reset. While some of their needs need to be answered in free agency, their late first-round pick could also offer them some offensive help, according to one NFL analyst.

Buffalo Bills Predicted to Revamp Their Offense
The explosive running ability of James Cook, paired with an MVP season from Josh Allen, powered Buffalo to a top-five offense, according to PFSN’s Offense+ metric. However, their passing game left a lot to be desired, as Allen finished with his lowest passing totals in five years.
Both his passing yards and touchdowns were the fewest since 2019, and this made scoring a nightmare in the playoffs against both the Baltimore Ravens and the Chiefs. However, the latest mock draft from PFSN has the answer Buffalo needs.
With the 30th overall pick, they have the Bills selecting a 6’5″ stud from Arizona, Tetairoa McMillan. David Bearman of PFSN described the selection with a simple sentence. “This might end up being the steal of a draft.”
And it isn’t hard to see why. In three seasons, McMillan emerged as a legitimate number one for the Wildcats. In the last two seasons, he was good for 1,402 and 1,319 yards, respectively. Over the three years, he totaled 26 touchdowns, but his final year has Bearman falling over for him.
Due to the way free agency shaped up so far, it eventually led to a ton of wide receivers going far lower in the Draft than he initially expected. “I did not plan on having the first WR off the board at No. 30, but all the final moves before free agency put a ton of veteran WRs on the market.
“A lot of the teams filled needs on their teams (EDGE, OL) instead of WRs — and a lot of them (Tetairoa McMillan, Egbuka, Matthew Golden, Luther Burden III) fell.”
However, McMillan still is the man to get for Buffalo. “A top-10 talent that just kept falling, McMillan will be a nice fill-in. His 1,319 receiving yards ranked third in the country last year and would be another dynamic weapon for MVP Josh Allen and his shiny new contract.”
However, he also sees Emeka Egbuka as a possible selection. But either way, the end result is clear. “I think Buffalo goes WR to pair with Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman in a dynamic Bills offense.”
