Bills Predicted To Draft 23-TD ‘Uber-Talented Pass-Catcher’ After Trading for DJ Moore

The Buffalo Bills are projected to draft Jordyn Tyson, potentially giving offensive coordinator Joe Brady a new boundary threat.

Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane made his intentions crystal clear when he traded for D.J. Moore earlier this spring. Josh Allen needs elite weapons to keep pace in the crowded AFC arms race.

Landing a premier veteran receiver solved the immediate problem at the top of the depth chart. Now the front office can focus on building a sustainable, explosive passing attack through the upcoming NFL Draft.

Targeting Jordyn Tyson To Bolster the Bills’ Offense

The current roster boasts proven talent, but offensive coordinator Joe Brady requires another boundary threat. He needs a dynamic player to stretch defenses vertically and keep safeties honest. In T.J. Randall’s latest 7-round 2026 NFL Mock Draft for PFSN, he highlighted an intriguing scenario for Buffalo in the later rounds.

He projects the Bills will select former Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson to round out their revamped receiver room. The projection hinges on Tyson falling down draft boards due to a complicated medical history rather than a lack of on-field production.

“We’ll put linebacker on hold for now for a talented receiver, who, if you’re reading the mock drafts and the consensus board, is unlikely to be available at this point,” Randall said. The analysis pointed directly to his injury background as the primary reason for his availability.

“Tyson is available in this mock draft because the history of ailments is a legitimate concern that will likely generate opinion volatility. Nevertheless, the Buffalo Bills nab an uber-talented pass-catcher when he is at full strength.”

Tyson’s Impactful College Résumé

Tyson built an impressive statistical profile during his collegiate stops at Colorado and Arizona State. Over his four-year stint in the college ranks, Tyson racked up 158 receptions for 2,282 receiving yards and 23 total touchdowns. Tyson finished 23rd in PFSN’s CFB WR Impact Metrics with an 81.2 Impact Score.

Those numbers showcase his ability to separate from defensive backs and finish plays in the red zone. He flashed elite burst and an innate talent for tracking the deep ball through heavy contact.

His tenure in Tempe featured significant high-end production when he managed to stay on the field. Tyson secured 75 passes for 1,101 yards and 10 scores during a breakout 2024 campaign. He followed that performance with 711 receiving yards and 8 receiving touchdowns across 9 games in 2025. Evaluators consistently praise his route fluidity and suddenness off the line of scrimmage.

Defenses cannot roll coverage toward Moore without leaving the rookie in favorable single coverage on the outside. Beane is assembling a receiving corps designed to overwhelm the opposition from the opening snap.
